What a week! I think I did the best thing possible under the circumstances: focused on anything and everything else but the FUD and the price crashes (although I made some purchases).

I was thinking before starting this recap if I should include all the bad news to contribute to the generalized FUD or simply ignore them. I decided to include 3 of them, you almost certainly were exposed to them before anyway. Shielding ourselves from bad news is not very smart either. The important thing is to take the information out of it and move on as quickly as possible to something else before FUD creeps into your mind.

Let's see what we have for this week's roundup.

Week on Hive

While things are rather tense in the crypto world, Hive news remains positive, other than the falling prices, affected by what happens in the crypto markets, in general.

Leofinance Alpha Adds Polls and Search

In a significant release, the Leofinance team added both polls and a search feature for usernames and tags on their #threads interface on Leofinance Alpha. This is the announcement.

At the end of the last week Khal and @anomadsoul were invited at CTT, an edition I didn't catch for the last week's roundup:

I haven't had time to listen to the podcast yet, but Eric (anomadsoul) was invited to Crypto Maniacs this week too. Here's the link to the episode:

CubFinance Update: Kingdoms Phase-Out and Focus on bHBD & bHIVE

And the same Leofinance team announced they are phasing out kingdoms on CubFinance to focus on bHBD and bHIVE. This means the inflation allocated to kingdoms will be directed to bHBD and bHIVE pools going forward. Here are the details:

Splinterlands GLS Node Validator Licenses Presale & New Energy System for Ranked Battles

Splinterlands is getting ready to launch the node validator licenses for their new platform GLS, based on a similar setup of tranche tiers like the one in effect on Splinterlands. Here's the announcement:

The existing node validator license holders on Splinterlands may be eligible for an airdrop. The announcement describes the details and process.

Also this week, the Splinterlands team came out with a post describing the new energy system for ranked battles that will replace the existing Energy Capture Rate System. Here are the details:

Psyber X Game Size Reduced 12x!

I haven't played Psyber X, but by reading through their updates I understood their game needs to be downloaded locally. Prior to this update the game size was 120GB, which is a lot. They've reduced it to 10GB while preserving the game quality. These are the details:

@DBuzz coming out with their own game

The game's name is Retzark and is a card trading game, turn-based, where opponents need to do the most damage (or 20) to each other's base to win. From my understanding, the game is coming, but not here just yet. Here are the details:

Week in the Cryptocurrency World and in the General Economy

Well, are you ready? Now the bad news...

Silvergate Announces 'Voluntary Liquidation"

I guess last week's news was a preamble. Looks like this bank went under and with it one of the links of major crypto businesses (particularly in the US) with the fiat world. https://www.coindesk.com/policy/2023/03/08/crypto-bank-silvergate-announces-voluntary-liquidation/

Silicon Valley Bank, the 16th Largest Bank in the US Collapsed in 48 Hours

And with it, many were affected. But since this is crypto news mostly, let's have a look at the direct effects on the crypto space: https://decrypt.co/123199/silicon-valley-bank-crypto-companies-contagion
