Just before the bitcoin halving in May, caught in the wings of excitement, I started posting actively about bitcoin on my WhatsApp stories. For weeks, I did it so consistently and vehemently that my cousin who, at the time, had zero knowledge about bitcoin got interested. She then chatted me up and asked that I explained the basics to her. I did.

Shortly afterwards, she told me that she was ready to invest $2000. At the time, bitcoin was trading at $11,800 and there was widespread speculations that the price could go down below the halving price of $8,800. Going by the charts of previous halving events, I knew that the speculations were most likely an hoax but I wanted to protect my cousin, to not break her heart quite early.

Therefore, I employed one of the safest cryptocurrency investment strategies which found me advising my cousin to first invest half of her capital - in this case, $1,000. Thereafter, we would monitor the market trends and rebuy if the unexpected happens, if bitcoin falls below its halving price of $8,800. It never did, anyway. The closest we ever reached was somewhere around $10,000. So, my cousin didn't get the golden opportunity to rebuy.

For a while, she was down some dollars below her investment threshold but she didn't even show the slightest disappointment. This lady had mastered bitcoin, faster and sooner than I ever expected. Now, bitcoin is trading at roughly $15,500 and my cousin is about $300 up in profit but she has vowed to wait until about when bitcoin hits $40,000. Apparently, a newbie had become an overnight bitcoin bull.
