¿No?

No desistas. Sé constante. Piensa a futuro. No desistas.

Si tienes capital, invierte. Sino, invierte tu tiempo y esfuerzo. No desistas.*

No desistas.

Recuerda mi historia y no la repitas. Y por favor, NO DESISTAS.

🔶 ENGLISH 🔶

I'm tired of saying the same thing. Maybe it's repetitive and my story is boring you, but for the purposes of what I want to tell you in this post, I should mention it one more time: I've been an intermittent since I started Steemit 3 years ago. And that hasn't been smart at all. If I had not been so undisciplined maybe today my story would be very different personally and financially.

I see with some nostalgia, admiration and even "envy" (to say the least), how many with whom I started in 2018 are in a privileged position in reputation, HP and influence in Hive. And that leads me to repeat to myself every time I want to throw in the towel or some discouragement comes to me, as it has happened to all of us, to leave Hive: ***"Hey, Gary, please don't give up. Don't make the same mistake.

What mistake? The one of coming and going. The mistake of not being consistent. The one of believing that by posting once a week I'm going to rise and rise from the bottom on #hive. In believing that this currency will never rise beyond $0.5. Believing that accumulating HP is not important. In thinking that this blockchain-based social networking and blogging is a bubble or something that won't last. Thinking that this is a hobby and that I have a better future in a traditional business, even if it is online. Believing that I will never get rich or be able to make a living from this. That I will not be able to buy anything significant with what I earn in Hive.

Let me put it this way. My HP right now is 537 (of course, I make the caveat that if it weren't for several PD's I've done, I might have 1,000 HP today). That means that if I make a power down (PD), as indeed I have already done, in one week I will receive 35 hive. If the price of the token stays at $0.45, that means that those 35 hive translate into $15.75. Not bad for a one week "salary", right? Now, many of those who started with me, have about 15,000 HP in their wallets. It means that if they today are encouraged to make a Power Down, at the price of $0.45 per hive, in one week they would be receiving 1,153 hives, ie: $518.85. Much better than the sad $15.75 I will receive, right?

Let's not fall for it, we're here for the money. Whoever says otherwise is a common liar. Some use their rewards on a daily basis, others keep them. Some others earn only for healing. There are many uses for your hives. The point is the future. When you think about giving up, about leaving because you don't see the cheese on the toast think about what you can get from Hive in 3 years. Maybe the coin is not worth $0.5, maybe it is worth a minimal $0.1. Or on the contrary it is worth $5. Do you know how much that HP you have accumulated will be worth 3 years from now? That's right. A lot of money.

Don't let it happen to you like it did to me. Today I see those wallets of my contemporaries full of hive and I see mine quite squalid. If I had not been so intermittent, inconstant, incredulous and fearful, today I would be in another position. Same to you, but in the present tense:

Don't give up. Be constant. Think ahead. Look at #hive and $hive as a medium and long term investment. Give the best for her and you'll see that she'll pay you back in spades. Don't give up.

If you have capital, invest. If not, invest your time and effort. Be social, make contacts; that will be one of the best ways to grow you will have. Forge valuable relationships with others; for this I recommend you **comment a lot, both in public and in private. Don't give up*.

Learn as much as you can about cryptocurrencies, blogging, online marketing, writing, technology, finance and anything else you think will help you in this new world. Don't give up.

Remember my story and don't repeat it. And please, DON'T GIVE UP.
