Is abuse rewarded at Hive or is there a real EQUILIBRIUM? | Reflection

As leaders, managers, administrators, parents, teachers or people in positions of power in front of a group of people, we have a great responsibility. Regardless of what it is, there will always be one thing that will be a priority for every leader: fairness, equanimity, balance. The four (4) objectives of business administration are: planning, organization, evaluation and control. When we evaluate we are making a judgment based on performance. If an employee misbehaves, the duty is to judge him according to his behavior. If a student does not comply with the assigned task or does it wrongly, he must be corrected and evaluated based on his effort and results. If a child disobeys or does something mediocre, the duty of the parents is to discipline him, not to reward him. Do we agree on that?

If we agree on that, why do we often see the opposite on Hive? Why is low effort rewarded? Why do we abuse the trust of an automatic vote or the contacts we have? Why is a 3 minute video where I just sit and talk and upload valued more and better than a 5 or 30 minute video with visible effort and dedication? Why is a post that at a glance shows that there was research, creativity, attention to detail, work and perspiration, rewarded worse than one where you see laziness or at least, little work? Just because I have friends who vote for me? Just because I have to pass the link to my trusted whale or curator to give him some love? It's nice that it was just that, "a little TLC", but it's just that they don't settle for a kiss on the cheek and a pat on the back. No. You can tell it was a deep kiss and a tantric massage that went through that publication. I'm not saying we have our friends, but let's not be so blatant, darlings. Let's dissemble.

Why and what should we dose those endorsements for? Because we create a bad image. We sell the image that low effort is rewarded at Hive. If we reward the bad employee as the good one is supposed to be rewarded, then the good one will be demotivated and the bad one will remain the same. The same thing happens in Hive. If a user is hyper rewarded no matter what content he uploads, he will keep posting whatever he wants and doing the minimum effort, he will always get votes for what he does. The user who tries harder, on the other hand, will be demotivated when he sees what for him and many others, is an injustice.

Some people can't stand me because I tell the truth. For many I am uncomfortable. But I prefer to express myself than to remain silent and be an accomplice. Some claim to love Hive, but bleed it with their actions. They contribute and destroy in equal proportion.

Will we continue to support abuse? will we reward low effort? will we unintentionally discourage others who do better than we do? will we continue to abuse power and contacts? Note that I have spoken in the first person plural, i.e., I include myself in all of this. I am not perfect. In the past I may have been, in the present I may be, in the future, I may fall into bad habits; but that is what you will be there for, to write me privately and say, "hey, what are you doing?". Or to leave me a public comment and call me to chapter and reflection. I trust you will have the courage and honesty to let me know.

For Hive's sake, let us reflect. And let's live up to the name of our latest Hard Fork: EQUILIBRIUM..

Thanks for reading me to the end. I read you in the comments.
