Chinese Balloon
This has been on the news for a couple of days, for a while it was more talked about than even the war in Ukraine. What is it about? A Chinese balloon that transited over US territory. Eventually the USA sent a jet and shot the ballon down over the ocean.
Now if this was a spy balloon it would have had, I guess, some very good technical equipment that US security experts would have found interesting, even if only to know how advanced the Chinese are in balloon spying territory. Does the US not have the technology to just grab this balloon and carry it down safely to a military base? Or maybe they weren't really interested in this balloon.
But you know, what really gets me, and makes me look at this as comedy gold, is that it is known Chinese satellites by pass over US territory several times a day taking all kinds of data, as do satellites from a lot of countries, and of course US satellites do the same. And yet we are led to believe that China, which happens to be the number two country in amount of satellites has to resort to 18th century technology to gather data.
I don't know about you, but I think this is an event made so we miss something really important that is or will be happening. I don't know what it is or where it will happen and it could well be I am becoming a conspiracy theorist, but there si something about this balloon that makes me wonder. Maybe it is just a crypto balloon.
