Aprendamos a usar el DISCORD
Cuando llegamos a HIVE, una de las primeras cosas que descubrimos son las comunidades o tribus.
Un ejemplo de ellas son: @Gems, @OCD, @Hispapro, @Catarsis, @LeoFinance, Hive Venezuela, @Fulldeportes, y pare de contar.
En cada una de ella podemos publicar nuestro contenido.
A veces en muchas de ellas nos encontramos con una invitación a su servidor en DISCORD.
Pero, ¿QUE ES EL DISCORD?
El concepto y detalles lo podemos encontrar en WIKIPEDIA, pero voy a intentar resumirlo con palabras sencillas.
DISCORD, es un servicio de mensajería instantánea, en que podemos usar mensajes de voz, video y por supuesto de texto.
Se puede usar con Windows, MacOS, Android, iOS y Linux.
Puedes usarlo instalándolo en tu PC, teléfono o lo puedes usar desde tu navegador favorito.
Yo prefiero usarlo desde el navegador.
En DISCORD cada comunidad en general (web) puede tener un servidor y estos a su vez tienen canales.
También, un usuario común, puede crear su servidor y canales para los fines deseados.

Hay dos formas para llegar a DISCORD, una buscándola por tu navegador favorito y otra por una invitación que te hagan.
Como somos curiosos y no nos aguantamos, nos vamos al navegador.

Estando en la página oficial nos desplazamos hasta abajo y le damos un click a [Regístrate].

Se nos presenta una ventana para crear nuestra cuenta.
Colocamos nuestro correo electrónico, nuestro usuario, la contraseña y la fecha de nacimiento.
Les recomiendo usar el mismo usuario que usan en HIVE.
Una vez colocada la información, le damos click a Continuar.
We are presented with a window to create our account. We enter our e-mail address, user name, password and date of birth. I recommend you to use the same user that you use in HIVE. Once the information has been entered, click Continue.
Se abre una ventana que contiene un control de seguridad de la plataforma, para saber que no somos un Bot o programa; para confirmar que somos humanos.
A window opens containing a security check of the platform, to know that we are not a Bot or program; to confirm that we are human.
Nos llega una ventana que nos indica que tendremos que verificar la cuenta y para ello vamos a necesitar un número de teléfono en donde se enviara un código de seguridad.
We get a window that tells us that we will have to verify the account and for this we will need a phone number where a security code will be sent.
Te pide la contraseña que colocaste al principio.
It asks you for the password you entered at the beginning.
También deberás verificar vía e-mail.

Hasta que por fin entramos en la plataforma y se nos presenta una imagen parecida a la que tenemos a continuación.

Ahora vamos a conocer de forma muy ligera las funciones de la plataforma.
Lo primero a ver es como modificar nuestro estado y eso se hace dando un click en nuestro perfil o cuenta de usuario que se encuentra en la parte inferior izquierda de nuestra pantalla.
Inmediatamente, se despliega un menú permitiendo escoger el estado que deseemos.

Al lado de nuestro perfil, tenemos los iconos o figuras del micrófono, audífono o audio (estos dos se pueden silenciar o activar con un click) y una tuerca que es la configuración de nuestra cuenta.

Aquí podemos subir una foto, modificar el nombre de usuario, nuestro correo electrónico, nuestro número de teléfono.
En el caso del nombre, es bueno resaltar que en la versión gratis de DISCORD nuestro nombre de usuario, siempre estará acompañado de un número asignado por la plataforma.
Así que por eso no te preocupes por eliminar o modificar.
Eso servirá cuando queramos darlo a alguien para que nos invite a un servidor.
Puedes salir de la opción de ajuste o configuración de la cuenta con solo darle a la X que está a la derecha u oprimiendo la tecla Escape.
Here we can upload a photo, modify our user name, our email address, our phone number. In the case of the name, it is good to note that in the free version of DISCORD our user name will always be accompanied by a number assigned by the platform. So don't worry about deleting or modifying. This will be useful when we want to give it to someone to invite us to a server. A mano izquierda tienes un menú con los diferentes ajustes.
Ajustes de Usuarios, Ajuste de Facturación, Ajuste de Aplicación, Ajuste de Actividad y el botón de cerrar sesión.
On the left hand side you have a menu with the different settings. User Settings, Billing Settings, Application Settings, Activity Settings and the logout button.
No voy a dar detalles de todos los ajustes, pero sí creo que te puedan interesar unos que te voy mencionar.

Aquí tienes diez (10) opciones para conectar tus cuentas, ya sean de juegos o redes sociales.

Apariencia:
Aquí podrás modificar el modo oscuro o claro, la barra lateral, la vista de mensajes, la escala de la fuente en el chat y el espacio entre los grupos de mensajes.

Idioma:

Ahora salgamos de la configuración y vamos a ubicar los servidores y canales.
Para ello usare imágenes de mi cuenta personal en DISCORD.

A la extrema izquierda vamos a ver los diferentes servidores a los que estoy conectado, ya sea de HIVE o de otras comunidades.

Al lado derecho de la columna de los servidores se encuentra la columna de los canales.
Los canales siempre corresponden a un servidor y este está identificado en la parte superior de la columna.

Como podrán ver cada canal tiene un nombre y a este nombre le antecede el signo numeral (#).
Cuando nos posicionamos en un canal este se despliega en el centro de la pantalla y podremos ver su nombre en la parte superior de la pantalla, el editor o espacio para escribir los mensajes y por supuesto el Timeline.

Ya casi que se me olvidaba, en la parte superior de la columna de los servidores hay un icono que se identifica como Inicio, allí vas a encontrar Tus Amigos que estén conectados contigo, los Mensajes Directos de los Bots y usuarios y la opción de Nitro que eso es DISCORD pago.
