I am talking about golf, that great game where we chase around a small ball through an 18-hole course. Close your eyes and imagine it is a hot summer day, and you are hitting this tiny ball with an oddly shaped club and then chasing the ball through a 100-acre course.
When it comes to golf some people could care less and many go out of their way to ridicule the game. The truth is this game is the perfect teacher of patience. The game will test your mind, body, and spirit, that sounds dramatic but it is true. You can practice and practice and never really come close to being any good at the game. If winning is everything to you then golf maybe just a big ball of frustration.
I Have Been Golfing Since High School
Getting out on the course mid-morning when the air still has a chill, you can feel the excitement in the air it is almost electric and everything in the universe feels right. The sound of the club whipping through the air then that CRACK POP sound of the club striking the ball. That sound and feel of the force behind the popping crack sound are just so perfect.
Yes, I have passed the hackers’ curse down to my children. This is how a curse turns into a blessing. People trying to find time for golf on the weekends or those rare middle-of-the-week games are difficult for a person with a social life filled with family and friends. Not me I am so lucky that my family and I can enjoy golfing together. It is like heaven on Earth to be able to share such a perfect joyful day.
Frustration Is An Enemy To All
We all joke about the attrition rate of internet marketing. The truth is this is not funny. Right now you are in a room with 99 other internet marketers. In total 100 marketers, at the end of the year how many will still be active?

The simple answer is you have to love what you do. If you do not every day will be the same as having a job, and you will have to talk yourself into doing the simplest thing.
The main cause of people’s frustration is that they did not think it would take so much time and so much money because so many so-called “marketing gurus” are selling a false dream that something can be created from nothing.
The Truth About This Business
It is going to take you at the very least 20 hours a week, and about $100 a month to on the lowest smallest tightest shoestring of a budget to operate your online business. Depending on the business it could cost a lot more, in both time and money.
I know a lot of you have been trying to start your business for free, but honestly, how are you going to brand yourself without something as simple as your own domain. We need to talk about small gradual numbers, especially at the beginning of your journey.
