A thought about plagiarism / Una reflexión sobre el plagio

Plagiarism is something normal, it is very possible that we all do it at some point without knowing it, especially when we are starting to write, and I say this because I also committed plagiarism when I was starting college and had to write scientific articles, but gradually I understood what was expected of what we had to write, and this was a progressive learning I had with my teachers, who were teaching me what is plagiarism and not, how to make citations and how to express ideas.
I could see during all my university studies how other people plagiarized and were learning the same way I did (because it is something we have to learn to avoid, and we learn to avoid it when we know it is something bad), but every time we advanced in the career, the punishments were worse, since it can be expected that someone with no experience in life can commit plagiarism, but it is not expected from someone who is about to graduate as a psychologist.
These last days I have seen how there are people who have committed plagiarism in Hive, and this is something that can be considered different because it is a platform where you can earn money, and you can set an example to other people who follow us, but it is still necessary to take into account that no one is born knowing what it means to plagiarize.
Just as in my university they gave us warnings in our beginnings about what this means but the punishments were not something strong, it may be important that they give warnings on platforms like HIVE or LEO, and in the case that the measures are not taken, it would be necessary to take another stronger punishment, such as the case of the blacklist, just as in my university those who committed plagiarism in advanced stages of studies were expelled.
It is easy for those of us who are knowledgeable about plagiarism to know about it, but also to have the creativity not to do it, and it is understandable that those who are starting out can make these mistakes, although this should not stop them from being punished, but I think that in some cases they do not have enough experience to be able to get topics to write about or a fluency in writing that makes it unnecessary to commit plagiarism.
In closing, I want to make it clear that I do not agree with plagiarism, and I think it should be punished, but I also think it is interesting to think a little about what happens, at least on a more superficial level.

Hacer plagio es algo normal, es muy posible que todos lo hagamos en algún momento sin saberlo, sobre todo cuando estamos comenzando a escribir, y lo digo porque yo también cometí plagio cuando estaba comenzando la universidad y tenía que escribir artículos científicos, pero poco a poco entendí lo que se esperaba de aquello que teníamos que escribir, y esto fue un aprendizaje progresivo que tuve con mis profesores, quienes me estuvieron enseñando lo que es plagio y no, como hacer las citas y como se debe expresar las ideas.
Pude ver durante todos mis estudios universitarios como otras personas hacían plagio y estaban aprendiendo de la misma forma que yo (porque es algo que tenemos que aprender a evitar, y lo aprendemos a evitar cuando sabemos que es algo malo), pero cada vez que avanzábamos en la carrera, los castigos eran peores, ya que se puede esperar que alguien sin experiencia en la vida pueda cometer plagio, pero no se espera de alguien que este por graduarse como psicólogo.
Estos últimos días he visto como hay personas que han cometido plagio en Hive, y esto es algo que se puede considerar distinto porque es una plataforma donde se puede ganar dinero, y se puede dar el ejemplo a otras personas que nos siguen, pero todavía es necesario tomar en cuenta que nadie nace conociendo lo que significa hacer plagio.
Tal como en mi universidad nos daban advertencias en nuestros inicios sobre lo que esto significa pero los castigos no eran algo fuerte, puede ser importante que que den advertencias en plataformas como HIVE o LEO, y en el caso de que no se tomen las medidas, sería necesario tomar otro castigo más fuerte, como el caso de la lista negra, tal como en mi universidad se expulsaba a quienes cometían plagio en etapas avanzadas de los estudios.
Es fácil para quienes tenemos conocimientos al respecto conocer sobre el plagio, pero también tener creatividad para no hacerlo, y es entendible que quienes están comenzando puedan cometer estos errores, aunque no por esto debe dejar de ser castigado, sino que pienso que en algunos casos no tienen la experiencia suficiente para poder conseguir temas para escribir o una fluidez al escribir que haga innecesario cometer plagio.
Para terminar, quiero dejar claro que no estoy de acuerdo con el plagio, y pienso que debe castigarse, pero también creo que es interesante pensar un poco sobre lo que ocurre, al menos a un nivel más superficial.
