Closing businesses that do not make a profit / Cerrar negocios que no dan beneficios

Something that can be extremely difficult is to close a stage, and this happens because we get used to what it meant to be in a place and do something specific but even more so we felt and thought that was an important part of us, among other variables that can make this process more or less difficult.
This can happen to us with a house when we move to another state or country, with our car when we sell it, with our partner when we end a relationship or even with things a little smaller, like objects that are very important to us because they give us memories of something specific.
And just as it can happen to us with these things, it can also happen with other things that are a little more negative for us, like a toxic relationship, or a business that gives us many losses and no profit, and this is where we must make the big decision, do I go or do I stay?
The short answer to this is easy, go, but there are many other variables in the middle that make saying it much easier than doing it, and in these are the emotional attachment we have, the way we see ourselves without that, and other less visible benefits, such as social recognition.
We have to put in a balance which are the benefits we have and which are the disadvantages, maybe when we see in an objective way that we have many more disadvantages of benefits we could make a decision more easily, especially when we see that other consequences we could have in the future.
In the case of a business that doesn't give benefits, it can bring us important financial problems when we start paying the employees with our credit card or the rent of the buildings with other income, really when that happens we should see if it's a passing situation (pandemic), or if it's because the business is really not working and we should make a difficult but sure decision before something bigger and harder to handle is created.

Algo que puede ser sumamente difícil es cerrar una etapa, y esto ocurre porque nos acostumbramos a lo que significaba estar en un lugar y hacer algo en específico pero más aún y sentíamos y pensábamos que aquello formaba una parte importante de nosotros, entre otras variables que pueden hacer que este proceso sea más o menos difícil.
Esto nos puede ocurrir con una casa cuando nos mudamos a otro estado o país, con nuestro carro cuando lo vendemos, con nuestra pareja cuando terminamos una relación o hasta con cosas un poco más pequeñas, como objetos que para nosotros son muy importantes por darnos recuerdos de algo en específico.
Y así como puede ocurrirnos con estas cosas, también puede ocurrir con otras que sean un poco más negativas para nosotros, como una relación toxica, o un negocio que nos de muchas pérdidas y nada de ganancia, y es aquí donde debemos tomas la gran decisión, ¿me voy o me quedo?.
La respuesta corta a esto es fácil, ¡irnos!, pero hay muchas otras variables en el medio que hagan que decirlo sea mucho más fácil que hacerlo, y en estas se encuentran el apego emocional que tenemos, la forma en que nos vemos sin aquello, y otro tipo de beneficios menos visibles, tal como reconocimiento social.
Tenemos que colocar en una balanza cuales son los beneficios que tenemos y cuáles son las desventajas, tal vez cuando veamos de manera objetiva que tenemos muchas más desventajas de beneficios podríamos tomar una decisión más fácilmente, sobre todo cuando vemos que otras consecuencias podemos tener a futuro.
En el caso de un negocio que no da beneficios, puede traernos problemas financieros importantes cuando comenzamos a pagar a los empleados con nuestra tarjeta de crédito o el alquiler de los locales con otros ingresos, realmente cuando eso ocurre debemos ver si es una situación pasajera (pandemia), o si es porque el negocio realmente no está funcionando y debemos tomar una decisión difícil pero certera antes de que se haga algo más grande y difícil de manejar.
