Good accounting in a business is as important as constant medical checkups for people, and what happens here is that when we can have a guide to what's going on, whether it's good or bad, we're going to know in time and be able to take advantage of it or make a change to improve the situation.

This is why accounting is very important to prevent financial disasters that can lead to the closing of the business and how it happens with something simple like having more expenses than income, or having some capital leakage in the business (someone stealing money or products).

In this article I want to comment specifically on the costs that we could have and that we have to take into account in order to have a financial health in the business, and within which we have to know that there are the interests of the debts that we have, the expenses for maintenance of machines, rent, payment to the personnel, and on the other hand the expenses that can be easier to see like the expenses for publicity.

There are some expenses that are more difficult to see, and usually they are the smallest because they can become of little importance to us and we say that it is not necessary to count them because they are so insignificant, but when we see the sum of all these small expenses, the sum gives us a bigger result.

In addition to this there may be expenses that are a little hidden in other expenses and that we must take into account to see the health in our cash flow as the interest on the debts we have, the reason why this happens is because the debts may seem like an advance on our capital in the future, but the interest we pay should be recorded as an expense, since it would not be part of our capital, but it is the profit of whoever lends us the money.

When we don't take these expenses into account, there can be a capital leak that we wouldn't understand and that can make us not know how much is the real profit and how much money we can count on for the next months or years that we are operating.

We have to see that accounting, both in business and in our personal finances, is an important thing to see if we are going in a good direction or if we are going in a direction that can bring us problems.

Keeping track of our expenses is not something that takes a lot of time, but it can give us many benefits in the future.
