Splinterlands - Is Land the Next Big Thing to look for in 2023?

Finally, I have done my LAND REGISTRATION, here on Splinterlands game. Which means that I have redeemed my land tokens to receive Praetoria land deeds! So what basically what is land registration? Land registration basically allows users/players to look into the lands of Praetoria. Players who have bought lands will be able to finally redeem their land tokens in exchange for individual, unsurveyed land deed NFTs! By doing so you do not loose anything and continue to get the daily $SPS rewards for HOLDing Splinterlands famous in game asset which is LAND. I basically had my eye on Praetoria territories where I wanted to have my unsurveyed land deed registered.
Right now there is no benefits associated to where the unsurveyed land deed gets registered. But looking at Praetoria territories name I target LOP [Land of Prosperity] and got my TRACT [100 plots] token claim into Unsurveyed Deeds. This was the first glimpse of lands that we had at the end of the year 2022 and there is more towards LAND expansion in 2023.

This is full overview of how the lands of Praetoria looks like. Quite impressive isn't iT? Half of LOP is surrounded by oceans, which I feel is good for some reason but these are all guess. And the LAND expansion happens we will get to know more about the Praetoria territories advantages and what best suites to mint on those locations. So here I am claiming my 1 TRACT for 100 unsurveyed land deeds.
Following is just one example of unsurveyed deed, that tells about its location in the whole world of Praetoria Lands. Right now you cannot do anything else with it but rather can transfer these deeds to other players.
There would be Building options coming in near future. Where players will be able to build buildings, like storage or item & spell manufacturing can be built on almost any plot of land. So in a nutshell there is too many things that players could do with their Lands from building storages to crafting items, spell manufacturing , resource harvesting there would be plenty of these options to build within your LAND.
The next few Land releases will add Deeds to the Market, improved Map View functionality, and the ability to Survey the Deeds you own (to reveal Geography, Type, Rarity, and Building options). These exciting features are already well underway and expected to be released in early 2023!
As the Splinterlands team said in their last post The Journey to Praetoria Begins around LAND development, it would be exciting to see further details on the land that users HOLD i.e. the Geography, Type, Rarity, and Building options. I am more excited to know about the LAND rarity - which is - Common, Rare, Epic, or Legendary - just like the existing Monster & Summoner cards. Here is the mapping with the LAND where - Fertile (Rare) Plains, an Abundant (Epic) Swamp, or an Overflowing (Legendary) Jungle. There is a hell lot of things to do with LAND and hence this is definitely a space to look at in 2023.
Players are looking something different in the game now and I believe LAND is the answer to it. With so many possibilities with LAND this can really be a game changer for the Spliterlands game overall. Allowing players to build on their land and then crafting/minting Items and Spells will be interesting to see. It is gonna get even more better when we would be able to leverage the existing Monster and Summoner cards to "work" in Building in order to function, so you may want to hold off on burning your cards for cheap and when the right time comes engage your monsters in the building Or rent them out as the case maybe.. Exciting times ahead with further LAND expansion that look forward to see in 2023...
