Splinterlands:: Why I Bought "CHAOG LEGION" Cards Pack? Finally Got A Surprise. Can You Guess iT?

I have been watching the numbers of Splinterlands - "CHAOG LEGION" cards packs being sold. There seems to be an uptick towards the cards being bought and this could primarily relate to two reasons. Number one reason being the SPS Airdrop coming to an end and DECs do not contribute to any points. The other reason being, DEC is being traded below its $1 Peg mark. Which gives a good opportunity to players or as matter of fact to investors who HOLD a good amount of DEC to buy packs with it.

Currently, I have rented almost all of my cards and this is giving me a decent amount of DECs daily as a rental income. Earlier, when the SPS airdrop was going on at that point in time, I was converting my DECs to SPS and was staking all the SPS. With this process, I was able to have 155K+ SPS staked.

But the goal was much higher, which was having 200K+ SPS staked.
Anyways, I am still working on it and all my staked SPS rewards are being redirected to the SPS staking pool. I am overall happy, with what all SPS I could collect from the Airdrop and am sincerely thankful to the @splinterlands team for it. The best part is that, I didn't deviate from my plan of restaking and this lead to me accumulate 155K+ of SPS at the moment and this keeps growing with the current 33+% APR...

Yes, I am coming to the main point of - Why I Bought "CHAOG LEGION" Cards Pack? Simply put it, I wanted to redirect some of my DECs rental income earned to buying the CL packs. I bought 200+ packs with DECs by giving out 20 Vouchers as well to get the additional 20 Bonus Card packs. I'll doing a separate detailed post around my bulk CL card purchase. But in a nut shell, this bulk purchase was done via. earned DECs and buying some DECs from the internal market as well.

I, went on to open packs and this was the moment of happiness to seeing that I was lucky to pull - "GrandMaster Rathe" Gold Foil Legendary Summoner Card. He is really a GrandMaster with the abilities it has to offer; from shield protect to friendly monsters receiving the amplifying ability definitely makes "GrandMaster Rathe" to be in your cards collection.

All the regrets, that I had around not being able to receive Gold Foil "GrandMaster Rathe" during the AirDrop is over, with pulling Grandmaster Gold foil card today. At the internal card market the price of Gold foil "GrandMaster Rathe" is around $148+. There is no way that, I plan to sell the card. But rather, will be putting it on the rental market to earn some more passive DECs. As, I move forward to opening another 160 CL packs and if get luck one more time. Will definitely share with you all - what came my way NexT with the CL packs opening.. hopefully some more legendary cards.. :-)
