Stock & Crypto Market Crashed Again

Hey All,

Its sad to see markets in RED again. Both the markets Stock & Crypto are in hefty losses. The Indian stock market - SENSEX is down close to 1.7+% and is trading around 54.7K+ points and whereas the crypto market based on coinmarketcap is down 7+% that brings the global crypto market cap to $1.66 Trillion

The overall sentiments are downward and the major factor contributing to this downtrend is due to the increase in interest rates, and tightening of fiscal policies by various government authorities in different countries, may it be in US, EMEA region or India we are seeing the interest rates being increased and that is overall contributing to panic selling and markets in RED overall.

It really hurts to see your portfolio decline during these market crashes. No matter how choosy you are while picking up the stocks. But with negative sentiments in the market your portfolio is going to hit hard only. Yesterday, when I had look at my stocks portfolio I was like Rs.3K+ down and now the losses have further extended to Rs.5K+. Losses bring opportunities and this market crashed tempted me to buy some more stocks this time.

I could not resist the market crash and how could I let this opportunity of Buy In Dips go. Had to do something and so invested another Rs.10K+ in some of the stocks that I have been accumulating for quite some time now. The new addition to the portfolio is Jubilant Foodworks Ltd. a decent stock trading around Rs.500+ and I bought 4 of these stocks to start with.

Why didn't you invest into Crypto market?

There would be an obvious question as to why I didn't leverage the crypto market down trend? Honest answer is that I am already heavily invested into crypto and didn't feel the need of again pumping fiat to buy in some other crypto coins.

Altogether, I am happy with all the investment so far made in the crypto arena and would like to HODL them for a long time and reap the benefits at a later point in time. No doubt that my crypto portfolio is down as well but I thought to go different route this time and continue to build my stock portfolio.

Finally, coming to the main question:: Stock & Crypto Market Crashed Again - How does it matter? Frankly speaking it shouldn't matter much to a person who is an investor and not a trader. I can understand for traders a market crash definitely brings in a lot of pain. But for investors and speaking of myself these market crashes brings a lot of opportunities and one being - Buy the Dips And I did the same bought in some of my favorite stocks and will continue to the same as opportunity strikes. I am a very optimistic person and a strong believer of investing for future. So whatever, I invest is associated to GOALs which are long term and when I see that my GOALs are being accomplished, I take action like selling, exting crypto coins, taking profits to accomplish the GOAL that I had set.
