Wednesday Coin Score - South Africa!

So it is Wednesday and that means @handofzara always finds himself at the coin shop.

Usually I end up buying American junk silver, which in my opinion. is the best way to add to the silver stack. I do however, first look at all the generic rounds and then the sovereign coins before moving on to the junk.

I stopped looking at the American Eagles simply because the premiums charged above the spot price just do not make sense to me.

None of the rounds caught my fancy and the shop was charging $7.00 above spot so I passed.

While looking over the sovereign coins, the store was charging $9.00 above spot, I saw mostly Canadian Maple leaves. And then something caught my eye. The handsome fella on the coin above.

I said to myself, "you know self, you ain't got no silver Krugerrand in the stack."

So listening to my inner ELMO, who doubles as my financial advisor, I bought the Krugerrand!

The Reverse features a springbok which is the national animal of South Africa.
