Hello Splinterlands Community, the recent update on the game was big as there is now a way to use Gladius Cards in ranked battles, which is never happened before as that set is exclusively available for Brawls only which is part of the guild system. For this reason I will start sharing some of my opinions and thoughts on the cards that belongs to the Gladius Set, I already started with Trapp Falloway last time which is a great melee damage unit in the death element. This time I will talk about Tatiana Blayde which is a very powerful legendary card in the Gladius Set which can now bring havoc to ranked battles.

About Tatiana Blayde

Tatiana Blayde is a legendary neutral unit that deals both melee and ranged damage to opponents at the same time and also belongs to the Gladius Set. This card is not obtainable and rentable on the marketplace. The only way to be able to use this card in brawls and ranked battles is by acquiring it through opening Gladius Case which can be bought on the in-game store under Guild tab for 2000 Merits. The merits can be obtained by participating actively on guild brawls as well as from the rewards chest in the game.

The figure below shows the complete statistics of Tatiana Blayde from Level 1 up to its maximum level of 4. It only requires 11 cards in order to upgrade this card to its maximum level though it is a difficult objective considering that this card can only be obtained by opening Gladius Packs in the game which is only purchasable in the in-game store using 2000 Merits. Based on the figure above, I can say that upgrading this card to Level 2 is already good enough to increase the amount of health of this unit. It also unlocks the third ability which is Dodge that increases the chance of this unit to evade melee and ranged attacks coming from the enemy team. That ability is very useful for Tatiana Blayde as it only has a decent amount of health and the ability to possibly dodge an incoming attack from enemy monsters would be great to make this card worth to use in the match.

Rulesets

Tatiana Blayde is a great offensive unit that deals both melee and ranged damage to opponents and it can be utilized very well if the certain rulesets are present in the match where it should favor this unit. Since this card requires to be placed in the first position in order to deal melee damage besides the ranged damage it can also deal in a single strike, it would rely on the certain rulesets in the game wherein it could unleash its offensive capability even if it is not placed in the first position or if its durability is was enhanced very well. There are certain rulesets in the game which I will share that should make Tatiana Blayde a great card to use not only in ranked battles but also in brawls as well.

Aim True

This ruleset is fits very well with Tatiana Blayde. The Aim True ruleset gives every monster in the battlefield the ability to successfully deal damage every round. This allows Tatiana Blayde to always deal double damage each round with its melee and ranged damage which makes the Bloodlust ability more possible to be triggered as this unit can take down opponents easily with its massive damages and great amount of speed.

Equal Opportunity

This ruleset is great for Tatiana Blayde. The Equal Opportunity ruleset gives every monster in the battlefield the opportunity ability at the start of the match, this makes them target the monster of the opposing team which has the lowest amount of health. This allows Tatiana Blayde to target the most vulnerable unit on the enemy team and with its ranged and melee damage combination it would certainly take down the target unit and triggers the Bloodlust ability.

Explosive Weaponry

This ruleset is also good with Tatiana Blayde. The Explosive Weaponry ruleset gives all monster in the battlefield the blast ability at the beginning of the match which makes their attack to deal damage to the adjacent monster of their target unit. Tatiana Blayde strikes twice with its ranged and melee damage where every strike would trigger the Blast ability. This makes Tatiana Blayde very powerful and unstoppable in the battle.

Melee Mayhem

This ruleset favors well with Tatiana Blayde. It allows all melee monster in the battlefield to strike each round regardless of their position in the team. It gives Tatiana Blayde the ability to deal not only ranged damage but also melee damage to opponents even if it is not placed in the first position. This helps Tatiana Blayde to deal double damage to enemy team while not being placed in the first position since this unit does not have the amount of health which is good for first position units.

Equaliser

This ruleset is also useful for Tatiana Blayde, it makes the initial health of all monsters in the battlefield equal to the health of the monster on either team that has the highest base amount of health at the beginning of the match. Since Tatiana Blayde does not have a great amount of health, this unit would benefit a lot from this ruleset most especially if the enemy team uses a monster that has a massive amount of health and makes this unit good to be placed in the first position on the team.

Summoners

It requires a careful planning not only on choosing the appropriate summoner that will be used in the battle but also on the monsters that would work well with Tatiana Blayde. Since Tatiana Blayde is a neutral gladius unit, it can be played using any summoners in Brawls as well as any element summoners in ranked battles wherein the summoner has the ability to use one gladius card in the match in addition to that the Taking Sides ruleset is not present in the match. I mostly use Chaos Legion Cards, Gladius Cards, Reward Cards and some starter cards that are playable on my battles and brawls, which is why I am going to share my picks on the summoners that belongs in those said sets where I am very familiar with, and already have experienced playing it on ranked battles and brawls for a long time that I think should be a good choice whenever you're planning to use Tatiana Blayde in battles.

Pembrook Nymph

This summoner is a great choice you can use whenever you want to deploy Tatiana Blayde in ranked battles. It is a water summoner that increases the health of your units at the start of the match. It also one of the new summoners that allows you to use one Gladius Card in the battle which is very useful in the battle. These Gladius Cards all have the Bloodlust ability which makes the card more powerful as it takes down enemy units and using those cards in the ranked battle would make your climb on the league more smoothly.

Franz Ruffmane

This summoner is also a good choice if you're planning to use Tatiana Blayde in ranked battles. It is a life summoner that gives armor to all your units at the beginning of the match. It gives Tatiana Blayde some additional durability in the match especially if Tatiana Blayde is placed in the first position of the team to utilize its double damage capability. It also allows you to use one Gladius Card in the battle just like Pembrook Nymph, the only difference is the monsters available that can be used to pair with Tatiana Blayde since those summoners are from different elements.

Tarsa

This summoner is a great choice if you're planning to use Tatiana Blayde on Brawls. It is a fire summoner that increases the health and melee damage of all your units at the start of the match. Tatiana Blayde would not be available to use with this summoner in ranked battles but it would be usable if it is used in Brawls. Tatiana Blayde benefits very well with the health buff as it increases its durability in the match while the melee damage buff from this summoner further improves its massive firepower already had in the battle.
