Cryptocurrencies have come a long way from the time the first Bitcoin transaction was made and the growth so far is nothing short of astounding given the fact that compared to other system of finance the timeframe of it's existence hasn't been long.

Just as popularity has grown, there still remains a wide difference between what people know and misconceptions about cryptocurrencies. A large number of people have at one point or the other heard about cryptocurrencies or probably just the word Bitcoin but knowing the name is different from understanding what it is.

The recent dip has actually shown just how much gap there is with a number of articles, memes and videos coming up (in my opinion) just to taunt those who have invested and lost funds. I read about two articles trying to allay fears that crypto isn't a scam or a Ponzi scheme (although there are scam projects just like in the any financial systems) and I was glad other people are also seeing the need to put the word out there.

Regulation by countries such as China which have a large population isn't helping with growth as well. Although one thing I've learnt is that when government tries to regulate something that has advantage from the people, natural curiosity as humans always comes to surface and more people will want to know exactly what it's about. In a reverse kind of way it's also helping popularity.

I know this because a few years back we had a kind of partial regulation and what this did was that the average guy who wasn't interested in crypto trading was suddenly curious to know why the government was interested in it.

As crypto enthusiasts, there's the need to continue to spread positives of using cryptocurrencies in order to counter the negatives of such times as a bearish where everyone is focused on price and loss.
