One of the sites selling NFT art is MakersPlace https://makersplace.com/ . It is an "invite only" site so you have to request an invite on discord. I must say it looks more elegant on the first sight than other places which sell NFT art. Their website design is really sleek. Interestingly their activity stream contains not just recently sold art, but also other forms of interactions with the content of their site. You can easily see collections of "Top collectors", whatever it means. It's good though, as you can quickly find out what other people value. It seems they were quite successful at selling.

Perhaps one of the most important features are "Drops". Drops are premieres of choosen works advertised beforehand. It's certainly a good way to single out special works from the mass of others which flood abundantly. The question is how Drops are choosen. I haven't found any information if you can buy promotion of your work as Drop or if they are elected by MakersPlace. I admit I haven't read all the available information, so if you know, please write. They also have Featured creators, so that's another promotion possibility.

Another interesting feature are the keywords list in the "Discover" section. That's an interesting attempt to organize this chaos. "Popular", "New" and "Recently Collected" don't help much, but you can find categories like "Love", "Surreal", "Psychedelic", "Science Fiction". You can also combine keywords. I liked "Odd" and "Political" combination.

Can it persuade anybody that art can be a serious occupation? Probably not, but that's not the point of a site like this.
