The companies which ruled until very recently the social media world has decided to commit ritual sepuku and now that we live in an entirely different world it's time to prove that Hive can offer something better both for individuals and for companies. This means first of all clear rules obeyed by all. Hive whitepaper in chapter V.2. Censorship Resilience by Design says:

Hive is by design a decentralized blockchain that is sustained by geographically distributed servers and nodes. Every transaction is transparently and chronologically entered into blocks and signed onto the public ledger. All transactions entered onto the Hive blockchain have the element of finality and once confirmed in its three-second blocks, are irreversibly signed. Altering the content of recorded transactions and blocks is not possible as that would alter the state of the blockchain post-finality. Therefore, taking the default unalterability into account, no content on the Hive blockchain may be arbitrarily censored or altered in any way, shape or form.

Hovever…

Hive does not regulate its APIs or provide constraints on the type of endpoints that may be built on it. Individual front-ends and websites may present or not present segments of Hive content as they deem fit.

If they may or may not present contents „as they deem fit” this leaves the user uncertain whether the organic reach is being fidlled with on the frontend. It would be great if it was entirely clear that frontends are not entirely free to present content „as they deem fit” but that they have to obey some rules. How a post finds its way to the main page is obviously crucial for its reach. I know there are rules which govern that, but how can I be sure they are not going to change? I know it depends on how much Hive Power one has got but is it a good enough guarantee against arbitrary cutting down of the reach of some posts? If so , it should be one of the most advertised features of Hive.
