Brand Building Is Vital

You have probably read The LEO Dilemma: Changing the Way I Curate Content by @khaleelkazi and I agree with much of the things I find in that article and within the comments, but it also makes me rather nervous for what to expect going forward..

While khaleelkazi was very detailed and clarified all the things he said, I can't help to get a bit anxious for the things to come. Not because of the things khaleelkazi said, but due to some of the comments within his article and the "overall feeling" I got from the comment section.

I would love diversified content as well, because we are not a platform that is supposed to talk about the platform, just like khaleelkazi stated:

Our goal is not to be a platform for LeoFinance people to talk about LeoFinance.

I think we're going too fast craving diversified content though, and rushing things are not good. Especially not now during the hype-phase. The reason for the success and the buzz we have going on right now is because of the user experience along with the innovative changes and that the leaders are moving along the same direction as the community.. But it still comes down to user experience.

If you take away the user experiences aka. success stories, you slowly kill the fire and that is the opposite of what we should do. We should add even more gasoline to it. We should pour gasoline on the fire for as long as we have hype, because truth is, that hype will eventually die.

Know Your Audience

Let's be honest, LeoFinance is awesome and we love it. We love it because we see potential and we have results. We are existing users, consumers or owners of it. Whatever floats your boat.

An in-depth and cool article about BTC is not likely to attract the masses though. They might consume the content, but the 'average' Bob and Jane is not likely to dive-in to LeoFinance and start creating content, staking tokens etc. because of that specific article.

They are more likely to take LeoFinance for a test-drive by reading an article about people's success and experience with it. So, that awesome BTC article we read, is fun and intriguing for us, the existing users, but for the average Facebook or Instagram users it's not as exciting.

The question is, do we want content consumers or LeoFinance users?

What I mean by this is simple, we obviously want content consumers for various reasons, one of them being Ad revenue. The more traffic we get the more Ad revenue we will earn. Another reason is the potential of getting these consumers to become users.

What if we focused more on getting users instead though?

Bob or Jane starts using LeoFinance, having results and starts to see the real potential with it. They will talk about LeoFinance with friends and family which gives us both content consumers and real users who are creating content and staking tokens.

I don't know about you, but the latter is definitely a shortcut towards growth according to me, and it's based on the most simple thing. Word of mouth.

These stats are taken from the article I mentioned above:

  • Nielsen report that 92% of consumers believe suggestions from friends and family more than advertising.
  • Beyond friends and family, 88% of people trust online reviews written by other consumers as much as they trust recommendations from personal contacts.
  • And 74% of consumers identify word of mouth as a key influencer in their purchasing decisions.

LeoFinance is already able to help people from all over the world in various ways. Even at these prices. 1 LEO here or 1 LEO there might not be much for someone in the United States, but in other parts of the world, people are able to afford medicine and groceries. The extra income they earn from LeoFinance gives them financial security and aids them in the real world, where they encounter real problems.

We should talk about those things, and more importantly, we should definitely spread those types of stories outside of LeoFinance. That is what appeals to the masses. Real stories. Real experience.
