We recently saw an amazing update from LeoFinance when they introduced the New LeoAds Mechanic, and this is certainly great news for everyone who is holding LEO tokens. I am sure that you haven't missed the announcement or any of the posts about Ad Revenue, APY, SEO and traffic that quickly followed.

I talked about LeoFinance & Hive Growth With Optimized Content just after the announcement without having seen it and that sort of resulted in another post of mine called: Would You Edit And Make Changes To Your OLD Content If...

I was amazed over how well received both of them where, and I am grateful for the wonderful engagement on both. All of this has definitely sparked my interest even further, as this goes well in hand with my own passion, vision and goals I've been having for LeoFinance and Hive for a long period of time. I know that optimized content will- and can catapult us straight into a very bright future, but I have unfortunately been struggling with motivation and lack of time for various reasons, so I haven't "had it in me" to push through fearlessly, against all odds and obstacles I've been facing so to speak.

Setbacks are often difficult to comeback from and to beat myself up in an attempt of convincing others that "my way of thinking" is accurate put extra pressure on me which I wasn't capable of handling.

However, due to all of these recent events, I have decided to "go back in time" and optimize (and update) content I have previously published, so that search engines sees my content as fresh and relevant.

We are looking for traffic and we need outward facing content to push organic traffic to the site. We also want the Ad Revenue to increase, as that it simply put going to be shared among the holders.

  • So going back in time to update content that is already ranked, is a no-brainer for me.

Going back, spending time on posts I have already been rewarded for.. That might sound weird for some while it's crystal clear to others. Even if it actually sounds good and you understand the exact reasons for doing it, you might wonder what to change. You might never have heard about SEO before or you've never cared about optimizing content previously. It's perfectly okay. You can still do something to increase the overall chances to bring more organic traffic.

The easiest thing you can do, or at least one of the easiest things, is to include a link to another post whenever you publish something new. I told TM4450 about it a few hours ago.

Another thing I want to bring up is repurposing content. Or "content recycling", which is the practice of reusing all- or elements of existing content in order to expand the reach of that content. I am not talking about pushing out duplicate content like there's no tomorrow. I am talking about transforming one type of content into something new. For example, turning a blog post into an infographic or a video.

If you have a handful of amazing posts about "the metaverse", you could turn that into an ebook or a slideshow presentation. The sky is truly the limit here. This might also help you to come up with new ideas for content to create and it benefits everyone in terms of traffic in the long haul.

There is no reason for you to start optimizing or changing things in every single post you have ever made. So instead of wasting time doing that, you could easily find the right content to focus on by going to simple analytics.

Make sure to enter your username.

Click on "Google" in the referral list to the left.

If you have followed those two easy steps, chances are that you will see a list of posts below your username. The post(s) you should focus on is obviously the ones with the most page views. The highest number wins, so to speak. Make sure to make these posts up-to-date, optimize them a bit, check for errors and/or broken links. Add some more relevant information or an image or two.

  • That's everything you need to do.
