23 days ago, I wrote a post on LeoFinance in which I stated that I was about to start my new adventure with LEO and that I was starting from scratch. I made 5 posts prior to that "announcement" or what I would want to call my first post, in something like a "test run" to see if things actually where as good as they seemed. I was obviously convinced quickly since I dived straight into it within just a few short days after that.

A short, 514 word long post. That post ended up being my highest-paid out article with 23 comments in total by 10 unique users, including myself. It was nothing special at all, but I got lucky with the upvotes. Obviously an amazing boost of motivation, confidence and encouragement. It was amazing to see such incredible rewards, but that was actually far from the best part. The best part was the engagement.

Somehow, "I managed to land" LEO's biggest whale. I got him to leave a comment. He wished me good luck. On top of that, other really cool people showed up which I am very grateful for. Taskmaster was one of them. Not that it's unsual in any way, but I didn't expect that massive traction on my first post.

As I had been longing for engagement for literally years, this was amazing. I also knew from the start exactly what I wanted to do in the following few days, so I published another article. My second one called: "Grow Your Hive Audience". That was the first time I got to be a curators pick.

During these 23 days, I have published a total of 28 articles and 10 out of these articles have been curators pick's. Even my SEO mini-series was picked, which obviously boosts my confidence even further.

The Mini-Series In Case You Missed Them:

You might ask why someone would talk about optimization on a crypto/finance-platform and the reason is simply because it will drive traffic which increase the rankings and Ad Revenue for LeoFinance.

When I arrived on LeoFinance, I simply started to do exactly what I have done on both Steemit and Hive for the entire time I have been there (4+ years). I know how to market myself, I know the importance of engagement and 'brand building'. More importantly, for me personally, is to keep my dignity, be true to myself and to work my way up just like I have done in the past.

I started from scratch and I moved from Hive to LeoFinance in the sense that I focus more on content that fits LeoFinance and I went back to my roots again: I have fun.

These last 23 days have been the best time on this blockchain in a long time. I love the overall vibe on LeoFinance. I am amazed and satisfied with all the cool updates and changes, I truly love manual curation and how engagement has become a huge deal since Initiative 10, which is exactly in line with my own beliefs. You can see for yourself in many of my previous posts, or within many of the comments I make.

Fast-forward 23 days, to this day, and we can see this: The Flippening: LEO Authors Are the Most Rewarded Users on Hive | October Author Reward Leaderboard

This proves that what I have done works.

Even while having a super hectic schedule at work, I can still get good results. I don't have to spend 20 hours a day on LeoFinance for something to happen. I don't have to publish content on "the right time" in an attempt to get the most upvotes. I am used to be a nobody, but this proves that anyone can have some sort of success, as long as they put in the necessary time and effort.

I am far from done and this only means that I will do even more, work harder and engage more. I can't fly and I am not superman, but this nobody just put "hitmeasap" on the map.

  • How's that for 23 days of fun?
