Sorry for making multiple comments, but I also wanted to shed some light upon the whole "rewards"-situation by referring to some of my own content I have published:

I obviously understand that some authors are more well-known, established and so on. But if we look at one of my recent posts we can see this: (And this happens all over Hive/LEO and is not about me specifically. I'm just simply using my own posts as an example)

The above post is outward facing content, in the terms that the intention with it is to generate traffic to LeoFinance while targeting coinpayu users specifically, or people interested in coinpayu, for whatever reason it might be.

There are various factors to weigh in when looking for organic traffic and how to do it. The above post is basically just a "follow up" post, of something I previously did, so they can "work together" until Google ranks the content properly, which is when one of them are going to benefit more by having the second one as a "support pillar" behind it.

However, due to the nature of the post, or more specifically, because it's not "interesting enough" for curators, it wasn't rewarded much compared to other content.

If we look at this post instead, we can see a lot more votes, engagement and pending rewards. This happens for many reasons, but one of them is definitely the actual topic. I'm talking about Hive-related things, which has always been rewarded more than other types of content in general, because that's what everyone loves. That's our common passion so to speak.

The most important part, if you/we are going to focus on optimized content, or to reward such content in the future, we definitely have to come up with something that does not benefit Hive-related content just for the sake of being Hive-related. We have to look at the content from an optimized perspective and to figure out the actual potential it has to generate organic traffic over time, regardless of the topic. The content should be rewarded based on that, or have the chance to be rewarded for that reason and not because of the actual topic.

It's very difficult to come up with something really good, fair and balanced in terms of rewarding optimized content, but it would definitely be the start of something amazing. I love that you are trying @khaleelkazi and I'll do what I can to support this in any way I can.
