There has been quite some time since I last saw a detailed report of authors rewards on LeoFinance so I figured I would sort of do one for myself this month. I don't have access to all the awesome tools so I can't grab exact data or whatever, so my results will just be somewhat accurate.

I will simply calculate the rewards my articles have brought me and exclude rewards from comments, curation rewards and tokens I have been able to earn due to a Hive delegation I had to @leo.voter until recently.

So, before going into the details for this one, I will also compare my results from the January Report and I will share the LEO author rewards for the top 5 authors from the january report as well. These authors might not be the top LEO authors this month, I just use them as if they would be.

That being said, I was the 29th most rewarded LEO author in January with total earnings of $240. They used an average price of $0.60 LEO when they did that calculation, and even though we have dropped a bit lower than $0.60 at the time I am writing this, I will use the same value for this report.

  • I have published a total of 30 posts in April.

  • Those 30 posts have generated a total of 1618.21 LEO rewards.

  • Due to the 50/50 split, that leaves me with a total of 809.10 LEO.

  • At the price of $0.60/LEO, this is a total of 485.46 USD.

  • 485.46 USD is almost a fifth of my monthly salary from work.

  • My least paid out article paid out at: 13.51 LEO.

  • My highest paid out article paid out at: 127.70 LEO.

  • I had 8 posts that earned less than 20 LEO.

  • All posts earned more than 10 LEO.

Like I stated above, this does not include curation rewards, rewards on comments or the LEO I have received in return for my previous Hive Power delegation. This is only rewards from my articles.

Top 5 LEO Authors

This is the top LEO authors from January and this list might have changed for this month. I will still use this and share the author rewards for these users. #3 is no longer an active Lion and will therefore not be included.

@edicted:

  • Published a total of 45 posts in April.

  • Those 45 posts have generated a total of 3330.35 LEO rewards.

  • Due to the 50/50 split, that leaves edicted with a total of 1665.17 LEO.

  • At the price of $0.60/LEO, this is a total of 999.1 USD.

  • The least paid out article paid out at: 28.34 LEO.

  • The highest paid out article paid out at: 162.90 LEO.

@rollandthomas:

  • Published a total of 20 posts in April.

  • Those 20 posts have generated a total of 563.89 LEO rewards.

  • Due to the 50/50 split, that leaves rollandthomas with a total of 281.94 LEO.

  • At the price of $0.60/LEO, this is a total of 169.16 USD.

  • The least paid out article paid out at: 16.81 LEO.

  • The highest paid out article paid out at: 44.85 LEO.

@lbi-token:

  • Published a total of 30 posts in April.

  • Those 30 posts have generated a total of 2483.07 LEO rewards.

  • Due to the 50/50 split, that leaves lbi-token with a total of 1241.53 LEO.

  • At the price of $0.60/LEO, this is a total of 744.92 USD.

  • The least paid out article paid out at: 47.05 LEO.

  • The highest paid out article paid out at: 172.10 LEO.

@taskmaster4450le:

  • Published a total of 54 posts in April.

  • Those 54 posts have generated a total of 1996.74 LEO rewards.

  • Due to the 50/50 split, that leaves taskmaster4450le with a total of 998.37 LEO.

  • At the price of $0.60/LEO, this is a total of 599.02 USD.

  • The least paid out article paid out at: 15.16 LEO.

  • The highest paid out article paid out at: 145.88 LEO.

@acesontop:

  • Published a total of 57 posts in April.

  • Those 57 posts have generated a total of 2266.56 LEO rewards.

  • Due to the 50/50 split, that leaves acesontop with a total of 1133.28 LEO.

  • At the price of $0.60/LEO, this is a total of 679.96 USD.

  • The least paid out article paid out at: 8.36 LEO.

  • The highest paid out article paid out at: 102.62 LEO.

It is obviously difficult to make rough estimations, but based on these numbers above, one can say that I am not one of the highest paid authors per article. I was able to earn more than 10 LEO on each of my posts during April though, while the third most rewarded LEO author had an article that paid out at 8.36 LEO.

We can also see that three out of the five people in this list has made more than 30 posts, which could potentially give me room for another 15-27 posts. As they have managed to publish from 40 all the way up to 57 compared to my 30 articles.

If I take my total rewards of 1618.21 LEO and divide that by 30, it gives me a rough average:

1618.21/30 = 53.94

That is the average amount of LEO rewards I earn per article.

Do the same for the other users in this list and we get:

Edicted: 3330.35/45 = 74.00

rollandthomas: 563.89/20 = 28.19

lbi-token: 2483.07/30 = 82.76

taskmaster4450le: 1996.74/54 = 36.97

acesontop: 2266.56/57 = 39.76

With my 30 posts, I am at 4th place in terms of the amount of articles I have published along with lbi-token. rollandthomas is the only one who made less posts than that. The other 3 users made more.

Despite that, lbi-token is the highest paid author on average, edicted is 2nd and I am personally sitting rather comfortably at number #3.

The top 5 users in this report has made a total amount of: 3192.16 USD in April from sharing content on LeoFinance..

  • I guess people can see how life-changing this place can be now?
