The statistics within this post is taken from Semrush, and as I happen to get a weekly report that is called: Organic Research: Positions, and as I am in favor of the whole optimized content thing, I figured I'd let you in on some juicy details.

This report contains:

  • Organic Search: Positions 1-10
  • Volume
  • KD (Keyword Difficulty)
  • Costs %
  • Traffic %

Amongst some other things, but these are the ones I think is the most important. At least for now. I can also tell you that the Traffic cost has been an estimated price of $833 (down from $916 from last week) for organic keywords in Google AdWords, and six of the top 10 keywords have used CPC.

I have added costs % in the reports so we get more accurate details. As I include the estimated price for paid traffic, I might as well include where the paid traffic goes. I am not sure, but my best guess is that @khaleelkazi is using Google Adwords in an attempt to point traffic towards certain posts on LeoFinance.

These are the 10 keywords that brings most traffic to, and each keyword point directly towards the article on LeoFinance as well. Feel free to take a look.

As we happen to have more and more people interested in SEO (search engine optimization), I might continue to publish this on a weekly basis.

Reports from previous weeks can be found here:

I can also tell you that 1.2K keywords (982 previous week) is the number of keywords bringing users to the website via Google's top 100 organic search results.

  • Do people believe in organic traffic now?

Note: I have seen multiple requests for additional information within these reports and I have every intention of adding (some of) those and more over time.

Is it good to focus upon Keyword growth rate?

I think it is great that it is expanding. Jumping to 1.2K in less than two months is terrific.

Are there other pieces to this?

Is it good to focus upon Keyword growth rate?

I guess it depends on how you see things. I mean, in a perfect world, some would say that it would be better to focus on the current keywords we have and improve the rankings for those as they already rank and generate organic traffic.

However, more keywords basically means easier to generate traffic over time, as we give people more options so to speak.

Simply put, more keywords makes it easier for people to find us, but it involves more work/time to get the traffic as well, because each keyword needs to rank.

The keyword growth we see so far is amazing and the keywords are already bringing us organic traffic, which means that they have already been ranked. This happens naturally because LeoFinance is rather new and we have new content being published regularly. As SEO takes time, we get this (the keyword growth) as a "bonus" for just creating content.

That being said, we don't really have to shift our focus to come up with new keywords, as it happens more or less automatically.

I figure "the more, the merrier" is the approach. It also would figure the more key words that are ranking the more weight the site carries overall since the spiders are finding it in more places.

For less than two months, it seems like terrific progress.

Great work as always, man!

Could you explain a little more what do "Organic Search: Positions 1-10" and "Keyword Difficulty" mean? I'm not sure I quite get them.

Only if it's not too much trouble
