There are so many crypto currencies, cipher coins, and blockchains that are out there in what Chris Coney likes to call, the Cryptoverse. We can discover a little more by taking a close look at what is going up or down. Today one coin is standing out among the rest:

Terra - LUNA / UST

Up 4% today but 790% the past month, you can find a video on https://terra.money/ to watch. It seems that this could be a competitor to Tether. You can see its source code, which it uses to automatically swap UST for NOVA, or burn/store NOVA and print UST. There is a video you can watch, and a white paper you can read also.

"Terra achieves price-stability by algorithmically adjusting its supply according to fluctuations in demand. For instance, an increase in demand in Terra manifests in an increase in the volume of Terra transactions and as well as a surge in the price of Terra. It also uses something called the "Anchor Protocol"
which "allows Terra stablecoin deposits to earn stable yield"

You can learn about building Smart Contracts on Terra, the contract language is Rust. There is lots to explore but there is one thing that really caught my attention. In the video there is a claim that in addition to UST there is access to other global currencies including.. drum roll... the IMF SDR.

According to this article by xNEO posted on Jun 10, 2019 ,

"XRP was labelled a Supra National currency in an official document discussing Digital Fiat Currencies (DFC)."

XRP has been under scrutiny by the SEC recently.
Is the Nova project, like XRP, meant to be a supra national DFC ?

If digital fiat is issued by central banks, is legal tender, and able to be a store of value, medium of exchange, and unit of account, a cashless system could be a reality.

Will new users choose to use the money of the people, or the money of the banks?

If Facebook or other corporations launch their own DFCs or CryptoCurrencies, will you use the money of the corporations? If you worked on a moon mission, for a company that offered to pay you in TerraSDR, would you take it? Or would you prefer to be paid in BTC?
