Introducing The Hivelist.Witness Hive Engine Witness!

Hello everyone! We are proud to announce that Hivelist now has an official Hive-Engine Witness up and running! We are doing this for a couple of main reasons.

The Why...

One, we want to support the Hive-Engine network with an official Hivelist node and this also puts us in preparation for our own Hive witness node as well. Running a Hive-Engine node has given us a bit of an education and we feel more confident that we will be able to manage a layer 1 Hive witness. We will use the @hivelist.witness account for both witness nodes. But to start, we are running the Hive-Engine node.

The Problem

Currently, most crypto platforms get shadow-banned on social media or they get denied advertising on the major platforms because we all know they see crypto and Web 3.0 as a threat to what they have built. But, it can be easy to advertise a retail and ecommerce platform that once people come check it out, they get introduced to out little corner of Web 3.0!

We want to be able to support our awesome vendors as well as attract new comers and experienced Hivers alike that have never heard of Hivelist! In reality, we have one of the more commercially marketable platforms on Hive aside from the games.

The Solution

So the second reason for running a Hive-Engine node...MARKETING! We need to try and build a marketing budget for Hivelist that can be an on going marketing fund as well as pay for some other overhead like server fees and funds for future development... Looking like we might have to migrate the Hivelist store site at some point soon to it's own dedicated server for much better performance because it is getting pretty big, lol and we need to be able to handle traffic in the future!

The Specs...

We are running the node on a 4 core CPU server with 8GB of RAM and a 200GB SSD drive on contabo.com hosting service and the server is located in Germany. It is running the same specs as @thelogicaldude 's Hive-Engine node, but on a different host. We are testing this host to possibly move @thelogicaldude's node over to the new host to save money. The new host is allot cheaper...

For less money than running 1 node on the current host for thelogicaldude's node, the new host will allow us to run both nodes and 2 full running backups and still giving a bit of savings! So I am hoping that this new server works out!

Hivelist has the mission of changing ecommerce for the better and bringing more attention to the Hive platform and Web 3.0 as a whole by giving people a place to start a business without the big corporate hassles! The only way we are going to be able to grow is to grow as a community!
