Our decision to provide pHBD-USDC LP was a success!
Hi to our fellow Hiveans and Lions,
A little less than a month ago, @hodlcommunity decided to joint the community effort to build a HBD-USDC pool from scratch to help our dear stablecoin reach outside the Hive.Blog users!
This Blog post will show where we sit today and if this has been successful!

Our starting position
On April, 17th; we provided 111.77 $USDC and 110.18 $HBD. HBD were at a premium as many investors wanted to benefit from the 45%+APR offered on Polycub.
This makes a total of $211.95 in the LP position.
Where are we today?
This amounts to a total of $212.62 in the current LP position.
First and very important thing, we did not loose any amount due to the (small) volatility of the pool! This is great as this is the greatest risk when you provide liquidity to a DeFi Protocol!
How much $PolyCub did we get?
The APR was intended to be paid in $PolyCub tokens, therefore you have the volatility risk of this DeFi PLatform currency.
At a current PolyCub price of c.$0.15! That is quite impressive. As most of you know, you have to wait at least 30 days to not be penalized when you harvest your PolyCub tokens. We will have to wait 1-2 more days before cashing in these tokens.
Then, we might decide what to do with them... Stake? Convert them into stablecoins to increase our LP?
What was the yield on this first month?
If we sum up we invested $211.95 in the LP and we now have $219.14 (+$7.19). This is a 3.3% Yield in a single month! if you anualize it gives you more than 40% APR!
This was definitely a good decision from a community point of view (helping to increase the HBD use cases and liquidity) and financial point of view (Getting rich!).
Also, markets have been taking a hit the past month and having some of our savings in stablecoins farm and getting a great yield is even better then because we could buy HIVE, BTC, LEO at cheaper prices today!
