In June there was news in Splinterlands, and a new token was fated to be born, the SPS (Splintershards). In the news announcement that was followed by a White paper there was a very beautiful art of the SPS crystal with a message.

The message was simple and clear, but many refused to believe the words that day; many still do.

SPS changes everything, and this will be devoted to show why I sincerely believe that to the core, and how eventually SPS is fated to the moon and stars.

If you wanna stay for the ride, this is the program for today:

  • Axie Comparison (Market Cap/Active Players)
  • Vanishing Liquidity of SPS
  • Upcoming Land Expansion and Chaos Legion
  • 2022 - The Year of Splinterlands
  • When Lambo? Moon?

Before we go on, I must say that this is not financial advise, nor am I a financial advisor.

Axie Comparison

In the Play to Earn universe, Axie Infinity is probably the most successful project so far, as well as the most well known. But even when comparing Splinterlands with such a giant, the numbers are frightening.

Active Players: Monthly Active Players for Axie Infinity in the last month was 23,244,014, while Splinterlands had a total of 10,769,361. That's around 46% of the Axie number, which by itself is already amazing, but I must put it in context for you to grasp the significance of it. The growth in Daily Active Users in that month for Splinterlands was ~55%, meaning that there were more than 50% more people playing in the last day of the 30 days period than in the first day. Axie growth in the same period was of around 6%.

If you take for example the number of active players from the last day of this 30 days we're looking at and multiply by 30 to have an idea of the growth, Splinterlands would have then 13,550,580 monthly active players, and that is a downgrade from where Splinterlands will probably be in 30 days. Growth hasn't stopped, and it is not showing any signs of stopping.

Market Cap: Axie Infinity has, as of today, a market cap of $7,635,792,999 while Splinterlands is worth $117,211,838. It truly makes a lot of sense that Axie is valued higher than Splinterlands, but what is inexplicable to me is the gigantic abyss that separate both of them. If you take a look closer Axie is worth 65.14x the value of Splinterlands. Another way of looking at it, is realizing that if the Market Cap of Splinterlands ever reaches Axie's numbers, the SPS price would be ~$46.63 PER UNIT.

Numbers don't lie, and I'm holding each and every SPS I earn till the time comes, for I believe that Splinterlands has the potential, capital and more important, the minds at work to reach such a achievement.

Vanishing Liquidity of SPS

In the 17th of October, Splinterlands account on Twitter posts that Liquid SPS is for the first time bellow the 100M barrier, reaching around 96M units liquid. Two days passed and in the 19th, Splinterlands posts again the liquid number of SPS, now 92M. Today, as of the writing of this post we have around 90M SPS in liquid form, and odds are that if you are reading this post after some hours, or even days, this number is going for the 80's.

As more perks are implemented into the game, and more utility is given to the governance token of Splinterlands, we might see a continuous increase in the SPS staked number. As liquidity goes lower the price should get considerably less susceptible to great swings to the lower direction, and holders should experience a slowly increment in price as time goes by.

The fact that stands whether you like it or not is that SPS Liquid is VANISHING from market everyday.

Upcoming Land and Chaos Legion

The Chaos Legion has begun with voucher airdrops and the release of the chaos legion packs, even though they can't be opened still. The real Chaos Legion expansion it not even here yet and we have seen Liquidity being pushed to Staking, the price of SPS rising from around $0.30 to $0.70~0.80, and continuous growth in active players.

We are yet to experience the full Chaos Legion, pack opening, the full use of vouchers, which we know there will be uses, the full uses of SPS, the upcoming land expansion, the new formats of ranked gameplay, and who knows what wonders are reserved for the future of Splinterlands?

What we know for sure is that all and each of those events will most likely attract new players while providing more and more value for the older ones, and in each step of the way we should experience the price of SPS rising as the Splinterlands universe grows deeper and wider.

2022 - The Year of Splinterlands

The year of 2021 was a gamechanger for Splinterlands. The explosive growth, and massive implementations to the game will have historical significance to Splinterlands, but I dare say that 2022 will be even stronger.

Why do I say so? Because I play, interact and check out Splinterlands everyday. I see how dedicated the community is, how enjoyable the experience, and how profitable the journey. The life changing experience of Splinterlands is highly contagious.

As usual everything can happen in life, but I look at things in a very fundamental manner. Splinterlands is fun, enjoyable, profitable, filled with a great community, orchestrated by great founders and devs, all of that in a booming market of Play To Earn games that actually suffer from the lack of real games.

When Lambo? Moon?

Whoever pretends to know the answer to such question, are not to be trusted.

I can only stand by my convictions that SPS can outprice AXS in the long-term future, and I'm holding till the day of the $100 SPS token reaches reality, and my lambo reaches the moon.
