Malaysia 2020 BNM 60th Anniversary Medallion (Title: 60 years of Banking)

The gift set of three medallions have been exclusively designed for staff of Bank Negara Malaysia in conjunction with the bank's 60th anniversary. On one side, the medallions feature the distinctive buildings occupied by the Bank throughout its decorated history, illustrating its journey and development over the last six decades. The other side features designs and motifs inspired by the three series of coins issued by the Bank since its establishment.

Medallion 1:Laying the foundation

This medallion features Sultan Abdul Samad Building, not only an icon of the nation's independence but also the home of the Bank when it first opened its doors on 26 January 1959. The Sultan Abdul Samad Building served as the Bank's headquarters for eleven years, before the Bank's move to its current premises at Jalan Dato' Onn in December 1970.

Medallion 2:Capacity Building

This four-sided medallion showcases the Bank's present headquarters, the Kilang Wang and other offices built in the 1960s to 1990s. Over the years, the Bank has contributed significantly to the country's capacity and capability development through its role in helping establish various institutions serving as cornerstones of the financial system in support of the country's economic progress.

Medalllion 3: Transformation

This unique hex-round-shaped medallion features the Bank's state-of-the-art buildings built in the new millennium.
