This DAO-based Ethereum service has been operating for some time and is made up of a series of binding rules that determine the form and security of the governance of each current ENS name.

In other words, this service works like something similar to DNS that replaces IP addresses, giving the contracting party a unique name that can be used in cryptographic wallets, for example, and even on websites, metaverse, GameFI, DEFI, and other applications in the Web3 world.

The main objective is to simplify the enormous and impossible-to-remember encrypted keys that are already something that coexists with all of us who are part of this increasingly larger crypto ecosystem.

The names granted by ENS are not permanent but are contracted for a finite number of years at the option of the contracting party and of course, they have a given cost in ETH that increases with the time that the service is desired. At the end of the stipulated term, the contracting party has ninety additional days to decide whether or not to renew their ENS with the same chosen name. After this term, the domain will remain available for any other person to take. A not minor issue is the length of the name to choose, the fewer letters it has, the more expensive its contracting will be and as an example, we can put that a name of 5 letters contracted for 2 years will cost about 11 dollars in ETH, including gas necessary to register the transaction, this value can be multiplied by 30 for the same period if the name of your choice has only 4 letters, with 3 letters imagine it.

These ENS names will be displayed as xxxxx.eth work like NFTs and can be traded or sold between users.

Take for example santi.eth, it could be your username in any Web3 application and also your unique identifier for all your crypto wallets. In addition, you can create subdomains such as gallery.santi.eth or blogdenoticias.santi.eth, there are no restrictions in this regard.

The service has a native token for the governance of the DAO which is precisely called ENS, its original issue corresponds to 100 million tokens and half of them belong to the DAO itself, 25% was distributed as an airdrop and the remaining 25% is in the hands of contributors to the project.

If you want to get your ENS, just go to ens.domain and follow the instructions, although I have a clarification, it says that the payment can be made from the Metamask wallet but I couldn't, is no longer among those available, perhaps because it is now competing in that area, like several other projects under development or already completed.

Hace un tiempo que está funcionando este servicio de Ethereum basado en DAO y que está formado por una serie de reglas vinculantes que determinan la forma y seguridad de la gobernanza de cada nombre ENS vigente.

En otras palabras, este servicio funciona como algo parecido al DNS que reemplaza las direcciones IP otorgando al contratante un nombre único que puede ser utilizado en las billeteras criptográficas por ejemplo e incluso en sitios web, metaverso, GameFI, DEFI y otras aplicaciones del mundo Web3.

El objetivo principal es el de simplificar las enormes y absolutamente imposibles de recordar claves encriptadas que ya son algo que conviven con todos los que integramos este cada día más grande ecosistema cripto.

Los nombres otorgados por ENS no son permanentes, sino que son contratados por un número finito de años a elección del contratante y por supuesto tienen un costo dado en ETH que aumenta con el tiempo que se desea contratar el servicio. Al finalizar el plazo previsto, el contratante tiene noventa días adicionales para decidir renovar o no su ENS con el mismo nombre elegido, vencido ese plazo el dominio quedará disponible para que cualquier otra persona lo tome. Un tema no menor es el largo del nombre a elegir, cuantas menos letras posea, más caro será su contratación y como ejemplo podemos poner que un nombre de 5 letras contratado por 2 años tendrá un costo de unos 11 dólares en ETH, incluido el gas necesario para registrar la transacción, ese valor puede llegar a multiplicarse por 30 para un mismo período si el nombre de su elección tiene tan solo 4 letras, con 3 letras imagíneselo.

Estos nombres ENS que se visualizarán como xxxxx.eth funcionan como NFT y pueden ser intercambiados o vendidos entre usuarios. Pongamos por ejemplo santi.eth, podrá ser el nombre de su usuario en cualquier aplicación de la Web3 y también su único identificador para todas sus billeteras criptográficas. Además, se puede creer subdominios tales como galería.santi.eth o blogdenoticias.santi.eth, no hay restricciones al respecto.

El servicio tiene un token nativo para la gobernanza de la DAO que justamente se llama ENS, su emisión original corresponde a 100 millones de tokens y la mitad de ellos pertenecen a la propia DAO, un 25% se distribuyó como airdrop y el 25% restante se encuentra en manos de contribuyentes al proyecto.

Si desean obtener su ENS basta con ingresar a ens.domain y seguir las instrucciones aunque tengo una aclaración, allí dice que el pago se puede hacer desde la billetera de Metamask pero yo no pude, ya no se encuentra entre las disponibles, quizás porque ahora es competencia en ese rubro, como varios otros proyectos en desarrollo o ya concretados.
