One of the main manufacturers and suppliers of ASIC equipment, specialized in bitcoin mining, has recently announced that it will shortly have available new ultra-specialized equipment that will allow mining with a power equivalent to that of 32 next-generation GPUs with a speed of 3 gigahashes per second.

This news does not say anything out of the ordinary since Bitmain, the company we are talking about, has a dominant position in the market for ASIC computers or integrated circuit for specific applications (Applications Specific Integrated Circuit). This positioning has led it to overwhelm the industry and launch increasingly powerful machines on the market.

So what is the real news? That until now Ethereum through its hash different from that of bitcoin, could avoid or at least hinder the use of that type of hardware, so that the mining of the aforementioned cryptocurrency had turned in another direction giving greater possibilities to those who do not have enormous farms or mining pools, that is why there was talk of a “democratized mining”. That ends since the company's announcement about the launch of this new model says that its design has been outlined with Ethereum in mind.

This move by Bitmain supposedly seeks to position its renowned teams in the best way before the arrival of Ethereum 2.0 where it is speculated that a massive migration to the new version of the network will take place.

So folks, those who are thinking about mining taking advantage of the excellent moment of ETH keep in mind that the future will be a little less fair with small investors, well actually it is more of the same.
