Squid "trucho", Calamar "trucho"

In my country and in some other Spanish-speaking countries, the word trucho in colloquial language means false or illegal. It is so widely used and disseminated that the RAE has included it in its dictionary with what has become an officially accepted word in the Spanish language.

So why not use it to define the cryptocurrency that some developed along with a game that took on the most transcendent characteristics and situations of the Korean series that caught millions of viewers subscribed to the Netflix platform.

A few days ago I wrote a post about that particular event and although I am not in the habit of using any of these games, I found it interesting to see how some very fast reflexes took the series and turned it into a play-to-earn game for what which created their own token that they called without much originality, squid.

On Saturday I found out that apparently, this game has been an outright scam, the creators of the token after making it trade at more than $ 2,800 have disappeared taking what they would have collected up to that moment from the sale of it, according to estimates by CoinMarketCap about 2 million of that coin.

From the same site of analysis and monitoring of cryptocurrencies and tokens, they warned about a certain possibility that this game was just a scam, but as always happens, some enthusiasts do not read (or are not interested in) the warnings and the scammers took a large cut.

According to some other sources such as Gizmodo, the website created supposedly as a platform for the game was untidy, with spelling mistakes and many broken or undeveloped links, which would have attracted enough attention to warn potential investors that it could be tried. something false and short-lived.

Unfortunately, the announcements and alerts about being cautious and monitoring the site and its creators before buying the token to play were not warned by many who are now scammed by minds dedicated to evil, in this case, the squid trucho that taking advantage of the success of the series were left with other people's money.

En mi país y en algunos otros de habla hispana la palabra trucho en lenguaje coloquial significa falso o ilegal. Es tan utilizada y difundida que la RAE la ha incluido dentro de su diccionario con lo que ha pasado a ser una palabra aceptada en la lengua castellana oficialmente.

Entonces por qué no utilizarla para definir a la criptomoneda que desarrollaron algunos junto con un juego que tomaba las características y situaciones más trascendentes de la serie coreana que atrapó a millones de espectadores suscriptos a la plataforma Netflix.

Pocos días atrás escribí una publicación sobre ese particular acontecimiento y aunque no tengo por costumbre utilizar ninguno de estos juegos, me pareció interesante ver como algunos muy rápidos de reflejos tomaban la serie y la convertían en un juego del tipo play-to-earn para lo cual crearon su propio token al que llamaron sin demasiada originalidad, calamar.

El sábado me enteré que al parecer este juego ha sido una estafa lisa y llana, los creadores del token luego de lograr que cotizar a más de 2.800 dólares han desaparecido llevándose lo que hasta ese momento habrían recaudado por la venta del mismo, según estimaciones de CoinMarketCap unos 2 millones de esa moneda.

Desde el mismo sitio de análisis y seguimiento de criptomonedas y tokens advertían sobre cierta posibilidad de que este juego fuera solamente una estafa, pero como siempre ocurre, algunos entusiastas no leen (o no les interesan) las advertencias y los estafadores se llevaron una gran tajada.

Según algunas otras fuentes como Gizmodo, el sitio web creado supuestamente como plataforma del juego se presentaba desprolijo, con faltas de ortografía y muchos enlaces rotos o sin desarrollar, eso habría llamado la atención suficiente como para advertir a los posibles inversores que se podría tratar de algo falso y de poca duración.

Lamentablemente los anuncios y alertas sobre tener precaución y hacer un seguimiento del sitio y sus creadores antes de comprar el token para jugar no fueron advertidos por muchos que ahora se ven estafados por mentes dedicadas a lo malo, en este caso el calamar trucho que aprovechando el éxito de la serie se quedaron con dinero ajeno.
