Among the many urban myths and legends that circulate around the planet is this belief that Tuesdays whose day of the month coincides with the number 13 are bad luck.

People given to believe in superstitions or in mystical and esoteric matters are scared when one of these dates considered tragic approaches and they tend to postpone or make hasty decisions that at another time they would not make or at least they would think more carefully, just because they are dominated by the fear of misfortune happening.

Tuesdays the 13th have a bad reputation in countries with diverse cultures and the funny thing is that they are based on facts, legends, religious or historical beliefs in certain dissimilar cases. Even in some places the day or date has been changed, but the myth and the background are similar, for example, there are places where the unlucky day is Friday the 13th and in others, it is Friday the 17th.

In South America, for example, Tuesday the 13th is the most deeply-rooted date of bad luck, while in Anglo-Saxon countries it is Friday the 13th, the horror film that had that exact name as its title was very successful and helped to reaffirm that it is precise that The day of misfortune, although Jason and the film's production should not think the same, they lived many years thanks to the income that it left without forgetting all the sequels and prequels that were later filmed.

On Monday, April 12th, that is, just a few days ago, an enthusiastic friend of cryptocurrencies but also quite superstitious, asked me about my opinion about the prices that the main ones had at that time and that he thought would happen in the future. Despite my enthusiastic comments, he doubted, he had the firm conviction that exactly the next day there would be a significant fall, so he sold all his assets that were mainly in ETH, for more information there were not few funds he owned.

Indeed there was something wrong with Tuesday the 13th, my friend sold his entire stock at $ 2,197 for ETH and just two days later his price is $ 2,417.

My friend's bad luck was believing in that nonsense and getting carried away by something totally irrational.

Entre los tantos mitos y leyendas urbanas que circulan por todo el planeta está esta creencia de que los martes cuyo día del mes coincide con el número 13 son de mala suerte.

Las personas dadas a creer en supersticiones o en asuntos místicos y esotéricos se asustan cuando se aproxima una de estas fechas consideradas trágicas y suelen postergar o tomar decisiones apresuradas que en otro momento no harían o al menos lo pensarían más detenidamente, solo porque los domina el temor a que ocurra una desgracia.

Los martes 13 tienen mala fama en países con culturas diversas y lo curioso es que se basan en hechos, leyendas o creencias religiosas o históricas en ciertos casos disímiles. Incluso en algunos lugares se ha cambiado de día o de fecha, pero el mito y el trasfondo es similar, por ejemplo, hay lugares donde el día de mala suerte son los viernes 13 y en otros los viernes 17.

En Sudamérica, por ejemplo, el martes 13 es la fecha de mala suerte más arraigada mientras que en los países anglosajones es el viernes 13, la película de terror que llevó por título ese exacto nombre tuvo gran éxito y ayudó a reafirmar que justamente ese es el día de la desgracia, aunque Jason y la producción del film no deben opinar lo mismo, vivieron muchos años gracias a los ingresos que la misma dejó sin olvidar todas las secuelas y precuelas que luego se filmaron.

El lunes 12 de abril, es decir hace solo unos pocos días, un amigo entusiasta de las criptomonedas aunque también bastante supersticioso, me consultó sobre mi opinión acerca de las cotizaciones que en ese momento tenían las principales y que pensaba que pasaría a futuro. Pese a mis comentarios entusiastas dudaba, tenía el firme convencimiento que justamente al día siguiente habría una importante caída, así que vendió todos sus activos que principalmente estaban en ETH, para más datos no eran pocos los fondos que poseía.

Efectivamente hubo algo malo con el martes 13, mi amigo vendió todo su stock a u$s 2.197 por ETH y tan solo dos días después su cotización es de u$s 2.417.

La mala suerte de mi amigo fue creer en esa tontería y dejarse llevar por algo totalmente irracional.
