Bayern Munich is well known as a tough club in Europe and also a dominant side in the Bundesliga for the past ten years, yes this side has won the Bundesliga league title from 2013 up till date and no other club in the Bundesliga has been able to dethrone Bayern Munich ever since and a lot of questions have been brought up if the Bundesliga is a competitive league.

The Bundesliga has been referred to by other league fans as a farmers league because of the lack of competition in the league, but the German side has not only been successful in the Bundesliga they have also been successful in the Uefa Champions League, Club World Cup, and Uefa Super Cup.

However this season seems to have a different look in the Bundesliga, in the first half of the season Union Berlin which I have been keeping a close eye on we're league leader before the world cup break, but currently, Bayern Munich has reclaimed their spot back on the table but they are not still safe, Dortmund is two points behind Bayern Munich, RB Leipzig, Union Berlin, and SC Freiburg are seven points behind the defending Champions.

Union Berlin has got my interest this season in the Bundesliga, Union Berlin competed in Bundesliga 2(the second tier of German football)from 2009-2019, Union Berlin won promotion to the Bundesliga for the first time in the club's history and their first time in the 2019/ 2020 campaign season they finished 11th on the table.

The next season they improved and finished 7th on the table and in the 2021/2022 season they finished 5th on the table which earned them their first European football as they qualified for the Uefa Europa League. Their run in the Europa League came to an end last night as they were defeated by Union Saint-Gilloise 3-0 away from home with a total aggregate of 6-3. I was really hoping they would go far in the competition but their journey had to come to an end.

Their journey in the Bundesliga is not over yet and they can focus more on finishing in the top four which would guarantee their first appearance in the UCL next season. Union Berlin winning the league might not be possible this season but the impossible can be possible if they put their minds to it, and give it everything they got. I will still be keeping my eyes on this incredible team and watching how they end the season in June.

So guys that will be all for today, thanks for stopping by and have a great day.
