Developers on Hive seems to have a common goal of building things behind the scenes towards improving user experience by adding more features on the decentralized applications here on the blockchain and we are usually unaware about them until we see the features or products up and running.

Ecency front-end for instance quietly released the Swap feature or an automated market on its internal exchange very recently. I have no clue as to when exactly it was rolled out but I found about it today when I was to do my daily buys of some HIVE so it must have just been out a few hours since I visit the exchange daily and it wasn't there yesterday.

Initial observations include the UI being clean, straightforward or simple and it's user-friendly. This is important because we don't really like to do complicated things especially when making transactions. And this is one thing that Ecency seems to be really good at --- they make things simple or uncomplicated and fast, thereby it's pretty easy for newbies to navigate and use.

To do a swap, you just need to enter the quantity of HIVE or Hive Backed Dollars (HBD) that you want to swap and then confirm it further either by entering your Key (not the best option I believe), signing through the Hive Keychain or using Hivesigner.

I noticed that there isn't any slippage information or options though so I wonder if they have set a default or universal percentage for all swaps.

And to check it for myself, I did a test swap of 1 HBD and the transaction went through without any glitch. It was super fast and flawless which is really cool.

This feature is only available on the web app by the way.

The Limit market with the traditional order books is still available for those who don't want to use the automated market or instant swap feature.

This and many others being built are undeniable proofs that developers of the applications here on Hive are constantly innovating and building even during this nasty and prolonged bear season.

So kudos to these BUIDLers!
