Even when LeoThreads was still on the making, I often said on comments how excited I was for it to roll out. And the fun began when it launched almost a month ago. Of course like any new development, threads was not exempt from glitches. One that I observed of how things are done in the LeoFinance ecosystem is that they test things live and we in the community can get a first-hand experience. While this may not be appealing to others, I think it is one way for us to air our thoughts and ideas on how to improve the apps and features. I love the fact that LeoFinance is including us on these.

I digress for a bit but it was needed, like a backstory of how my love affair with threads started. But yes, I like it a lot and I feel it must be shared with others. So some days ago, I did a little initiative of inviting my co-content creators from the other community off the chain to come to #threads of which two came and one found it to be fun so I hope he will keep on.

So why do I love threads and perhaps you should too:

  • It is becoming my web 3 social media at its finest. After ditching FB in 2020, I didn't have any other socmed account since except Twitter and the other two sites I create contents with. Then Hive came which became my full-time space so to speak. The addition of #threads in LeoFinance made it so much more fun.
  • I can post anything - short rants, musings, add photos even and I own them forever.
  • Add to that the chance of monetizing them, earning different tokens, ie. $LEO, $HIVE, HBD and yes $POSH too.
  • Threads are easier to read and comment on. The time spent on making threads and engaging is significantly shorter than the long-form content, We all have time constraint at some point or another and #threads is making it possible for me to still be active even on a busy day or on a sick day like today.
  • A quicker source of information especially of crypto and the markets. In fact it was how I learnt about the second HBD pump sometime ago and was able to make some 10% profit.
  • I get more interaction or engagement on threads than on web 2 although I have more followers there than on-chain. That is partially because I am more active here than on Twitter.
  • By making #threads often on a day, we help the Hive blockchain thrive. The more activities on chain, the better for its growth.
  • And did you know that the busier #threads get, the Ad Revenue will increase too? Per Khal, the revenue from advertisements had doubled after threads got released. Accordingly, these revenues will be shared to those who have staked $LEO. When? Let's wait for it, hopefully soon.

Bottom line, I find threads fun and freeing that it's one of the first places I go to in the morning and you can guess it's also one of the last I visit prior to bed. I even depleted my RC twice within a week, lol!

LeoThreads is only on its initial phase and I believe more enhancements are coming. Think about being able to filter them, perhaps based on authors or those whom we follow or perhaps topics? That would be really awesome.

I also hope that sometime in the near future, we will be able to add videos on our #threads too. LeoTok they say, so we shall see. Meanwhile, let's enjoy what is already available and make the most out of them. #hive on and of course, #thread on!

So how about you, loving threads yet?

And by the way,if you have ideas for threads, just #thread them out with the hashtag #leoideas. Read more about it on TM's post here.

Lastly, don't forget to check the ongoing contest by LEO and HODL community. Good luck!
