Ruleset

Mana Cap: 19 Equalizer: The initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the monster on either team with the highest base Health.
Counterspell: All Monsters have Magic Reflect ability.
Splinters available: Water and Death

Lineup

Tank: Hardy Stonefish One Mana Melee attack gains a good tank at little cost with the equalizer ruleset.
Second Position: Torrent Fiend A zero mana Melee attack backs up the main tank without a cost. Filling in one of the positions and giving full health.
Third Position: River Nymph Four mana magic attack with cleanse ability. This is chosen to remove negative effects from the first position such as poison and slow.
Fourth Position: Ice Pixie Two mana magic attack allows some damage for cheap.
Fifth Position: Pelacor Bandit Three mana 2 melee sneak. Used to pick off the back line. Sixth Position: Merdhampir Four mana 2 ranged attack with Life Leech and cripple. This would help to restore some health in case a sneak attack is used in the battle.

Conclusion

I was able to pull a win out of this battle due to Merdhampir with life leech in the last position. This kept the damage of the two sneak attacks down to one damage per round. They choose a similar strategy using the summoner with -1 melee. I was not able to kill off their Soul Strangler in the last position with my single sneak attack hitting for 1 damage per turn.
By round 5 we had each killed one of the opposing team. This was a slow battle with each side slowly chipping away at the other side.

From the picture above my opponent was doing 8 damage per turn to my 6 damage per turn. However his damage was split between the tank and last position which allowed my team to win. River nymph cleansed the Weaken from Undead Priest on my tank giving an additional health point. Magic reflect was slowly chipping away at both of my magic monsters.

In the end I won the battle. I enjoy River Nymph with her ability to cleanse. This ability comes in handy when I see the Poison ruleset.
