Yes, @EverNoticeThat, I've sometimes bumped into the same kind of reactions, ranging from fears to purposely cultivated ignorance. Although now we're here, in El Salvador, at the other endpoint of that spectrum, where many shops next door do accept BTC. So hopium is still alive ;-)

Another thought that crossed my mind while reading you is that, paradoxically and to certain extent, I prefer to face people who're plainly indifferent or hostile towards the blockchain's disruptive potentials, than to try to build something with today's "10X fanboys", who're "in crypto" the way Wall Street traders were in the late 80's: to move fast, and break/improve nothing.

Watching so many people and crypto capitalizations breathing eurythmically with the Fed interest rate decisions make me think that if Satoshi Nakamoto is still alive, he probably sees the BTC fate as a doomed one.
