  • following someone
  • link a post

A me sinceramente non convince molto, voi cosa ne pensate?

Let's talk today about a site: memo.cash.

This time it is a site that has more affinity with twitter than with Hive, so let's talk about microblogging.

What is memo.cash? A social network based on the Bitcoin Cash blockchain, your "memos" will therefore end up indelibly on the blockchain, as is the case for Hive.

memo.cash is both a protocol and a front-end application.

The protocol works by writing transactions to the Bitcoin Cash blockchain. Client applications can read these transactions to see the activity on the network.

The advantage should be the total lack of censorship and discretion on your account.

All actions are written on the blockchain:

  • memo posting (maximum 217 characters but can contain links to anything, of course)
  • following someone
  • link to post
  • tipping

memo is a completely open-source project, which you can find in these repositories: github.com/memocash/mips memberapp.github.io

memo.cash protocol can be found at: https://memo.cash/protocol.

Basically memo, for each action, stores a transfer of a certain number of Bitcoin cash satoshi and allega to this micro transaction the memo you have written or any other action that then the front end is able to interpret.

What does this mean?

That for every action you do you have to pay!

We are talking about very few satoshi, but if nobody sends you Tip, or directly Bitcoin Cash or nobody likes you etc. etc. you will not have the material opportunity to do anything.

In fact, your account is automatically associated with a wallet to which you will inevitably have to transfer Bitcoin Cash if you want to interact with other users.

There is also the function that allows you to carry out a survey, but the possibilities are very limited, in fact there are only 209 characters for the question and 184 for each option, as the options increase, the "cost" of the survey also increases.

Sincerely all these stuff do not convince me much, what do you think?
