Just last night, Publish0x dropped this marketing email into my Primary Inbox. Not even in my Social or Promotions Inbox. That's some strong MailChimp (or similar service) software!

And what is it that Publish0x has to promote? The Bityard CEX through a writing contest with $700 worth of ETH rewards. If enough authors enter the contest, the prize pool can grow even larger.

I Have Yet To Publish On My Publish0x Account

Life is a matter of time management. Nothing throws more time choices a person's way than having a family. Do I spend this hour writing or with my kids? A happy wife makes a happy life, and that takes time as well.

Where I spend the precious time I have to work online is extremely important to me. No matter how I wrap it up, some platforms will get my attention while others won't. Though I'm not a fan of web copy, I understand that using it for community outreach can be a powerful tool in the right hands.

Personally, I choose not to publish the posts I write on LeoFinance or HIVE over on Publish0x. I smile and shrug when people say web copy is acceptable if you link to your original source. The experts in the field of SEO all agree. Web copy will hurt your search engine rankings. Don't take my word for it. Do your own research.

But more than that, posting some short text with relevant tags to social media sites will help your search engine rankings. The more engagement those posts have can create some powerful Social Bookmarks. Google spiders pick these up fast.

For these reasons, I have never made the time to do more than create an account on Publish0x. Looking at these ETH rewards, however, that may change in the future. If it does, it won't be web copy I publish.

Not To Promote A CEX

While I wouldn't dissuade anyone from entering this contest (those are some good ETH rewards!), promoting a Centralized Exchange isn't my cup of tea. The illusion of KYC while our online actions are already being monitored is a sham I try not to participate in.

Sure, I have my Coinbase account in case I do ever need to cash out some crypto. But honestly, it would take a lot for that day to come. My assets would either have to shoot past the moon, or our financial situation turn dire. Neither is likely to happen anytime real soon, IMO.

I'll Keep My Eye Out For DeFi Promotions On Publish0x!

If HIVE or LeoFinance ran a promotion like this, I wouldn't have to write for another social crypto site. I could just publish it right here. But it is what it is for now. Maybe that's what it's going to take for HIVE witnesses to propose funding for a marketing campaign. Throngs of Hivers spending their time on a different platform.

With all the money pouring into crypto these days, it's naive to think another platform won't come in and dominate the social crypto sphere! In fact and without any action on the part of HIVE, it's only a matter of time.

Good luck to all who do decide to enter the Publish0x / Bityard ETH contest!

Thanks for reading and as always...
