The Missing KEY to Unlock the Crypto Floodgates? ~ #FIO
I was lucky enough to catch a FIO In-Depth Community Update this morning, hosted by our very own @lukestokes and a Mr. David Gold. Not sure if David is on Hive or not, regardless...
The zoom call went about an hour long, was very informative, well put together, and left me more confident about the future of not only FIO, Hive, or even BTC, but the whole crypto ecosystem itself, than when I had gone in.
Real quick, what is FIO?
FIO Protocol (FIO) is a decentralized blockchain protocol that aims to enable a better way of sending and receiving coins and tokens. ... FIO Chain is a Delegated Proof-of-Stake (DPoS) blockchain that is designed to manage the high data-write needs of the FIO Protocol. source
Essentially, it's a trustless network connecting all blockchains, for simple and easy to understand transactions, so easy a caveman could do it.
It operates on a different layer, thus is very fast, very cheap, reliable, safe, and best yet, simple for every day people to use.
If you can use Venmo or Paypal, then you can use FIO.
It doesn't interact with any blockchains in that it's on top of any chain, but more acts as a medium, allowing all different chains to communicate together so users can send any crypto to anyone, using FIO.
Integration is the #1 thing, imo, holding back FIO right now. But it might take some more users to solidify it's place in the crypto world before the likes of Coinbase and other gigantic exchanges decide to integrate it into their software.
The payout structure I witnessed today at the zoom call was something really awesome. Incentive based rewards are what I'm all about. So soon enough they are coming out with staking your FIO tokens, which I think obviously will be a big boon for a growing user base, and also the token price.
Exchanges are also incentivised by integrating and listing FIO as well, as they reap a certain % for all the FIO that goes through their exchange.
Another thing I liked was that the team is comprised of some pretty heavy hitters, if you ask me. A few wallet CEO's, long standing entrepreneurs, tech guys with lots of experience, and a good amount of them have been involved in the BC space since before BTC hit 20K, lol. So they're not new to this is what I'm getting at.
Essentially, imo anyway, this is most akin to Venmo on the blockchain. Except it doesn't only do dollars, it does any crypto you want. And it's more than just send and receive, when staking comes into play and rewards systems start paying out, it will be a no brainer to use it.
The future for FIO looks bright.
-It has numerous wallets already integrated and using it.
-It's listed on Binance, the biggest exchange there is.
-And it has a dedicated team of passionate crypto enthusiasts who have a plan, and track record of making things happen.
I won't say exactly what I personally have invested. but I'll give you a range of more than $500 and less than 20K :)
Should you invest?
I wouldn't recommend anyone to invest in anything they don't know about or put in more than they could lose. So I'll just say a popular phrase said in the zoom call today that embodies the team at FIO, and that I also love, as I heard it early on in my sales days..."We eat our own dog food."
I understand this is not a sprint, rather a marathon, but getting in early on a marathon is much better than showing up late to a 100 yard dash.
Here are some tokenomics for you to chew on if ya'd like...
The live FIO Protocol price today is $0.262836 USD with a 24-hour trading volume of $5,215,534 USD. FIO Protocol is up 1.09% in the last 24 hours. The current CoinMarketCap ranking is #503, with a live market cap of $62,250,074 USD. It has a circulating supply of 236,839,844 FIO coins and a max. supply of 1,000,000,000 FIO coins.
Have you heard of FIO?
Are you invested?
What are your thoughts about bringing ease of use crypto transactions to the NPC masses?
I hope I didn't say anything partly untrue or mistook anything that FIO does or doesn't do in this post. Please feel free to correct me if you feel I am in any error. Always do your own due diligence before investing in anything. None of this should be seen as investment advice.
