There are several hundred web sites that interact with the HIVE blockchain. So, I decided to write daily reviews for theses sites on Internet Rivers with the monier "An Outsider Look at HIVE."

For today's Review I decided to look at HIVE's must promulgate tribe: LeoFinance.io

So, what is LeoFinance? I've followed this site since its inception and I believe that the best answer is: "LeoFinance.io is a place where people go to praise LeoFinance."

The long stream of unqualified praise of LEO on LEO shows one of the problems with incentivized forums. People who are hoping to get upvotes are likely to lose their objectivity in their writing.

This is a version of the reflexive #paradox.

That said, when one accounts for the biases of the site, LeoFinance is one of the best forums for following the rapidly changing world of crypto-currency and decentralized finance.

I took the image below of the volume report for LEO on LeoDex.io to make this point.

Yesterday, there was a mysterious 40% jump in the price of HIVE. The CoinGecko chart indicates that the price jumped from about $0.31 to $0.43. The price then fell back down to the low 0.30s .

This movement indicates that someone was pumping, then dumping HIVE.

The LEO chart shows a huge uptick in volume on LEO. The price of LEO fell from about 0.75 to 0.55 as people from LEO dumped their tokens to get in on the HIVE action. My guess is that folks on LEO were taking advantage of the bump to dump their free LEO and HIVE.

I tend to do the opposite of the crowd. I took advantage of the dip to increase my LEO holdings on my personal account @yintercept to 117 staked tokens. If I had more free HIVE, I would have bought more LEO.

Of course the astute reader will notice that I am blogging about LEO just after my purchase.

My motives are suspect.

One of the banes of all investor forums is that players in the market often do the opposite of what they say in public.

The only way around the reflexive paradox is self-awareness.

New Users and LEO Finance

I am writing the Outsider Reviews for HIVE for people who are new the platform and who are confused by the large number of sites that interface for LEO.

I've noticed through my many moons on HIVE that the people on LEO are extremely supportive of new users.

The advice I like to give to new users is that they should actively read LeoFinance.io as it consistently has the best articles about the blockhive.

I also suggest that new users consider writing their Introductory Post (the one with the IntroduceYourself tag )

IMHO, an introductory post is by nature relevant to LeoFinance because an introductory post is public announcement that a person has come to LEO and HIVE to learn about investing in crypto.

It's that paradox again. The announcement that a person has come to learn about investing in crypto on LEO is an article about investing in crypto and is automatically relevant to LEO.

After the Introductory Posts, I suggest that users continue to follow LEO to learn about crypto, but to write their posts on whatever HIVE Tribe is most relevant to the content of their posts.

Conclusion

In conclusion: LeoFinance is the single best web site created in the history of the internet. The LEO tokan has revolutionized the world of finance. The introduction of LEO was perhaps the most important event in human history since Moses parted the Red Sea.
