A Big Investment in 2nd Edition Cards

I've saved and bought SIM tokens since the game was created and have finally made my way to 400K SIM. It's been a long road, now it's time for a little experiment.

I'm purchasing 100 new city assets, hoping to upgrade my ranking and non-sim income. This is why I decided to go 2nd edition instead of the new 3rd edition. Besides, i'd likely be purchasing at least 20 worthless Construction sites, statistically speaking. I'd rather my chances with farms and parks.

So, here we go!

Highlights!

Got ONE MIC to add to the stack. Especially good now that SIM INCOME isn't a thing anymore. Gotta get those WAR PROFITS.

These are really expensive to buy and rare to collect. It really helps when the population and popularity can't keep up with the workforce demand. Let's get these bums on welfare! LOL.

Before the 80K SINK

After the 80K SINK

Whoo hoo! I now earn 1 SIM extra per day! That means my 80K SIM investment will pay back in 219 years, the year 2240!

The City Value has increased by almost 100K, so if someone wants to buy all my wind turbans and farms, maybe I can recap my investment.

If taxes were removed all together, I could earn back the 80K investment in TWO DAYS... but alas. The game mechanics steal away all my wealth.

What does dCity do with 2.632 MILLION SIM per day? That's about 3400 HIVE per day (current SIM price) or about $1700 USD (current HIVE price) in daily lost income.

How Long will It Take to Earn Back 80K SIM?

That all depends on the future value of SIM. If SIM prices are restored anywhere near 0.005, the investment will be paid back very quickly. If SIM prices remain where they are 0.00130 or so, it's going to take a LOOOOOONG time, especially if other taxes are kept high.

I'm hoping to recover in at least 3 months... maybe 6. I suppose we'll have to see.

Cards I was hoping for but didn't get.

I'm happy with the MIC and Social Aid Office, but I was really hoping for a bunch of weed farms and breweries. Mostly I was hoping for a bunch of laboratories, which have become highly sought after with the newest changes. But alas, no laboratories.

Statistically I would have to purchase more than 100 cards for a decent chance to get these cards. But I don't think I have the stomach to dump another hard-earned 80K into the game.

As dCity Continues to Develop, The Enjoyment Thrill Will Increase

I'm not much of a gambler, but occasionally I like the thrill of chance. This particular thrill was pretty dull, as I was hoping for some better outcomes.

But after a while I may look back and be very grateful for the investment while I could make it. Or I may simply regret it.

Only time will tell.

Teach Your Children Liberty from Sin

We encourage parents to teach their children principles of Godliness, beginning with the Word and an understanding who God is and what His Son has done to form a relationship with us.

No one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, or straw, his workmanship will be evident, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will prove the quality of each man’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:11-13

Teach Your children Liberty from Tyranny

Second to this is the principle of self-determination and freedom, lest we loose the ability to teach our children the first principle in future generations. Our children read the Tuttle Twin books, specifically to learn libertarian principles, which most people learn later in life. These books are useful for our family, and yours, to teach children concepts that seem complicated, but are made simple in these books. I am an affiliate for Libertas Publishing, your purchase will help our family grow financially.
