I did it! finally 8000 Hive Power locked in my account!

It says joined january 2018 on my account bio. I remember back than i was bind blown by the technology and all the facets this place has to offer. Well to be honest back then it was called "Steem" but that don't really matters anymore. Steem might be dead. But the People and the technology moved to hive and this is where this fascination lives on!

Consistency

I know there was a time i thought i can make a living with Hive and i was much more active and posted multiple posts daily. I was much more bullish with the hope this is going to be the next big thing within months. Then a reality check kicked in. You got to pay bills and focus on what brings proper fiat revenue. So i had to balance out the time i build on hive and the time i spend building business in the "traditional" markets. I still believe Hive might be the next big thing and that is why i stayed consistent since '18 but in a balanced way. I still been active because it still fascinates me and i love the gamification of accumulating Hive Power.

Assets

The real assets of Hive are the projects and the people.

It is encouraging to see a project like @leofinance manage their own token built on Hive and cultivate a vital community. Projects like @leofinance / @dtube / @threespeak / @splinterlands / @exxp and many more are the real assets on Hive. As long as people keep on building these projects we will succeed together.

people

What i realized is that Hive has a super small community compared to established social media networks like Youtube or Instagram but compared to the crypto space it is a decent one. No matter to whom you compare the numbers, i share my content diversified on several sites to diversify and test where the attention is. What i realized is that you can get hundreds of likes on Instagram or several thousand views on Youtube but compared to the size of Hive, the people here engage in an mostly honest and real way. The amount of people engaging is so much higher compared to mainstream sites. This is also one of the biggest assets. Crypto is mostly numbers and charts. Hive is Social.
