¡La batalla contra la censura! // The battle against censorship. (ESP-ENG)
Esta es una batalla que aparentemente no va a tener un fin a mediano ni largo plazo o por lo menos así lo creo. Y la sencilla razón del porque creo esto es por qué cada vez son más la personas, los gobiernos y los "dueños" de las redes sociales que creen ser los amos de la verdad absoluta y no hay nada más alejado de la realidad y peligroso que eso.
This is a battle that apparently will not have an end in the medium or long term, or at least I think so. And the simple reason why I believe this is why more and more people, governments and the "owners" of social networks believe they are the masters of the absolute truth and there is nothing further from reality and dangerous than that.
Hace un par de semanas vimos como una de estas redes sociales, Twitter, cerró de manera permanente la cuenta de Donald Trump por una serie de comentarios que, según Twitter y por ende las personas que están detrás de esta red, consideraron ofensivos e incitadores de violencia. ¿Estuvo mal que una red social silencie a cualquier persona por decir lo que piensa? - Si yo digo que voy a quemar tu casa y van mañana y la queman, ¿me tendrían que cerrar mi cuenta? - ¿Twitter, Facebook, etc por ser unas empresas con reglas y normas, tienen el poder de callar a alguien?...
For example, a couple of weeks ago we saw how one of these social networks, Twitter, permanently closed Donald Trump's account due to a series of comments that, according to Twitter and therefore the people behind this network, considered offensive and inciting violence. Was it wrong for a social network to silence anyone for speaking their mind? - If I say I'm going to burn down your house and they go tomorrow and burn it down, would they have to close my account? - Twitter, Facebook, etc., because they are companies with rules and regulations, do they have the power to silence someone?...
Claramente son preguntas que sus respuestas van a depender de la forma de pensar y de ver el mundo de cada quien y es esa exactamente la esencia de lo que la libertad de expresión es, que cada opinión, cualquiera que fuera sea respetada; que la compartas o no es otro tema muy diferente.
Clearly these are questions that the answers will depend on the way of thinking and seeing the world of each person and that is exactly the essence of what freedom of expression is, that every opinion, whatever it may be, is respected; Whether you share it or not is quite another matter.

What to do to avoid censorship and all its evils?
Básicamente la censura se combate siendo un rebelde y luchando por aquello en lo que tu creas y quieras decir. La cosa es que cada vez parece que hay menos espacios para expresarse libremente ya que la mayoría de ellos son lugares altamente centralizados donde el poder recae en una o varias personas siendo la libertad de expresión un espejismo.
Basically censorship is fought by being a rebel and fighting for what you believe in and want to say. The thing is that every time it seems that there are fewer spaces to express oneself freely since most of them are highly centralized places where power rests with one or more people, freedom of expression being a delusion.
Uno de los males que que se genera de la censura es la llamada AUTOCENSURA, que no es más que el miedo que aparece en las personas al momento de querer dar una opinión o publicar algún tipo de contenido y por tal motivo dejan de expresarse siendo una voz más que está siendo callada indirectamente.
One of the evils that is generated from censorship is the so-called SELF-CENSORSHIP, which is nothing more than the fear that appears in people when they want to give an opinion or publish some type of content and for this reason they stop expressing themselves as a voice more that is being indirectly silenced.
Siempre pongo como ejemplo a @theycallmedan ya que él fue suspendido, baneado, censurado, como lo quieran de llamar de twitter sin ninguna razón y lógica y aún así nunca ha dejado de expresarse y su voz sigue sonando fuerte al igual que la de todos los que hacemos vida en este mundo de la Web 3.0. Pero, ¿como?...

Hoy en día honestamente no se como va a terminar todo este tema de la censura, creo que mientras más centralización exista menos libertad habrá; pero lo que si se es el sitio en donde debo estar para evitar el silencio definitivo. Este 2021 estoy convencido que será el año en donde la gente va a entender el poder tan grande que hay en la Web 3.0 y en la importancia de que en las redes sociales TODOS seamos dueños capaces de crear una comunidad solida de personas libre pensantes.
Today I honestly do not know how this whole issue of censorship is going to end, I think that the more centralization exist, the less freedom there will be; but what if I know is the place where I must be to avoid the final silence. This 2021 Im convinced that it will be the year where people will understand the great power that there is in Web 3.0 and the importance that in social networks we are ALL owners capable of creating a solid community of free-thinking people.
