This is going to sound super weird but a few years ago my prayers were literally answered. Like, literally-literally, not figuratively-literally.

Covid had just arrived and I was out of work. I was staying home and for the first time in a long time, had a chance to think instead of just constantly ruminating on my money problems. And while I got a break for the moment, I knew I needed to take advantage of this time and fix my financial situation. I was at my wit's end and I just didn't know what to do. All I knew is that what I had been doing was not working. In fact it was un-working or dis-working. Whatever the opposite of "working" is, that's what it was. So one night, as we do sometimes when we've exhausted our own abilities and brains, I prayed. I was sobbing and just begging for help. The next day a friend of mine introduced me to a wealth-building community.

I have to admit, originally I was hesitant. It was an entirely different world than I'd ever been involved with and I had a lot of resistance to the idea. But later in the day it dawned on me that I had prayed about this exact thing the night before and today this thing just dropped into my lap. I joined immediately and became an active member in the group.

What I was introduced to was an entirely new way of thinking and behaving. Beyond anything financial, it has helped me get myself into a better place mentally and emotionally than I'd been since...well...I'm not sure I've ever been this healthy emotionally. It wasn't just an answer to my prayers about finances, it was an answer to a prayer I've been saying twice a day for over a year and a half now. I ask the Universe to unfold my life according to Her will and not mine. Because my way was a hot mess. This community -- The Alchemist Nation -- has helped me in more ways than I can even imagine.

One of the major things that has come from this is I met Gualter Amarelo, the man who started and runs the community. He has become my mentor and my friend. We we brainstormed on what I could do to earn income and it took a little while to figure it out. My skill set is so different from the real estate minded entrepreneurs and more businessy-type people in the group. I have a large set of different creative/artistic skills. So when Gualter got to know me well enough and saw where my strengths lie, he came up with an idea for a business I could start. Something that would serve the community of which I was a part, and would serve others as well. It's a company that writes books for service professionals who want to help more people, position themselves as an authority and get better known. He helped me with everything, how to start the business, how to run it and even got me my first few clients. Because he did all of this, I suggested he should be getting a larger share of the money. So we have become business partners.

I am learning so much. How to start and run a business, how to deal with finances and how to live life with a mindset that is both positive and based in reality. Now, as my business builds and gains momentum, I can see the day where I won't be concerned anymore with financial burdens or when and from where the next money is going to come in. And the truth is, having that financial security won't just effect that one area of my life. It will allow me to live a life where I am not constantly anxious about money. Better than that, it will lead me to the life I want to be living. And I can't be more grateful for that.
