The long-awaited Arbitrum Odyssey event began yesterday with NFT rewards for those who complete the weekly tasks. The tasks are very straightforward and I will be writing an article every week for every new challenge in case you forget to complete them yourself.

Bridge Week

The only requirement for the first week is to bridge some ETH over to Arbitrum using any of the partner bridges listed above. There seems to be no minimum amount so anything within the 10-50$ range should suffice. Those that complete the first weekly task (and all of the later ones) will be able to claim their NFT here.

HOW?

Start by going to Chainlist and connecting your wallet. Find Arbitrum on the list or search for it using the search bar and add it to your list of networks.

Bridging ETH to Arbitrum is available from a lot of networks but the cheapest ones are probably Matic and Fantom. If you need recommendations I would move ETH over from Matic using the Across bridge since it is very fast, has hardly any slippage, and has no token. You know what that means... I also recommend acquiring WETH via Slingshot for the same reasons.

The transaction should not take longer than a few minutes and you can track it at all times using the "transactions" tab.

Some bridges will be giving extra rewards to those that use them so if you want to max out your earning potential be sure to check out this thread on Twitter as well.

Once your ETH arrives on Arbitrum you can either keep it there or use it within the ecosystem. You can find all available Dapps by using the Arbitrum Portal.

WHY?

Arbitrum is one of the most popular ETH L2 chains and if/when they drop the $ARB token I am more than sure these NFTs will have something to do with it. The more you collect the higher your chances of getting some free tokens will get.

DeFi users that are priced out of Ethereum may also find Arbitrum interesting since it has a lot of Dapps to interact with. Median fees are somewhere around $0.2 and transactions execute almost instantly.

Extra Rewards

So far the following additional rewards have been confirmed:

  • Using the bridge with the most ETH volume will reward you with an additional Arbitrum NFT

  • Hop/Treasure will have an NFT raffle

  • Lifi giving "rewards" to users that use their bridge

  • Hashflow giving out a "special price"

  • deBridge has an active "quest"

Also, be sure to keep the bridged assets on Abritrum at least until all events have ended.
