New York Bill Looks to Criminalize Crypto Rug Pulls and Scams

As reported by Beincrypto New York seems to be ready to do something about rug pulls and scams in crypto and we all know that they are abundant.

The bill titled Senate Bill S8839 seeks to define, penalize, and criminalize fraud and target developers and projects created to dupe crypto investors. With the plethora of such projects within the industry, a law like this is long due.

Bored Ape Holders Lose NFTs Due To Hack (AGAIN)

For some it is news, for others just another day in the BAYC universe. This time the official Instagram page was hacked, the bad actors then posted a phishing website link where they promised a certain Land airdrop while robbing Ape holders left and right.

At the time of writing, it is estimated that around 24 Bored Apes and 30 Mutant Apes have been stolen, according to recent OpenSea transfers, although some of these may be holders transferring their non-fungible tokens for security purposes.

The value of the 54 NFTs calculated by floor price is $13.7 million.

Yuga Labs says the scope of the attack is far smaller.
