Web 3.0 is still far from its true potential but new tools are emerging as we speak. The latest innovation I have spotted is Fuse Pass a Web 3.0 portfolio builder that wants to help you build out a portfolio of the future.

What Is Fuse Pass?

Fuse Pass is very similar to Web 3.0 investment tracking tools like Zapper or Zerion but instead of focusing on DeFi it is trying to solve recruitment issues in crypto. If you are an independent contractor or a participant in DAO activities you know how hard it can be to connect your real-world portfolio with your crypto identity.

On top of all that I would also like to point out that it is not as easy to stay anonymous as it seems, even though you are working in the crypto industry. Employers want to hire someone with a proven track record and most of that stuff is still sitting on Web 2.0 with no solution in sight.

Thanks to Fuse Pass we will soon be able to create a "crypto identity" that is tied to our wallets, rather than to our real-life identity which is a total gamechanger for those that strive for anonymity in the crypto industry.

Why Is A Web 3.0 Portfolio Important?

Since we have been given the gift of blockchain tech it is only fair to use it to its full potential. Now here is a simple scenario where Fuse Pass makes your life a whole lot easier:

Let's say that you land a part-time gig in the crypto industry that is completed after just a few months. You and your employer part ways but it would be nice if they left some feedback regarding your work, right?

If they have a public wallet that "everyone knows belongs to them" just like we all know which ETH address belongs to Vitalik, they could simply issue an NFT with a review attached to it. Any future potential employer can then check your profile, look at the NFT and indeed verify that it was issued by the company you worked for.

The same applies to courses and certificates. All of them can easily be tied to your wallet address and there would be no need to use your real name when applying for future jobs in the industry.

Not only does it make things a lot easier, it also becomes more interesting to collect more and more positive reviews and certifications.

Wen Fuse Pass Dapp?

There is no official announcement for now but the website says that the waitlist is open.

If you click on that link it will lead you to their Discord server. Here you can find a bit more info on the project but nothing special. Even the waitlist still isn't live actually (from what I gathered) but regardless it is still worth joining and waiting for new updates that should come soon.

This is the first such tool that I know of so that is why I will be early to test it out as soon as it launches. In case I missed some similar project feel free to share them in the comments below.
