Today we hear a lot of talk about web 3.0, but what does it mean? why is it being so popular and attractive? what has driven its growth? we can make a simple comparison and briefly state that just as cell phones made the rapid adoption of web 2.0 so today cryptocurrencies are the ones that will lead to the mass adoption of this new stage of internet technology.
The reason for this is that cryptocurrencies are the gateway for most people to this wonderful world that we are gradually understanding and that encompasses much more than finance, although they include it. What I mean by this is that what currently attracts most of this "new web" is that we can be owners of what we do, to the point of being able to monetize independently through it, an example is these lines that I am writing, which are not data that others monetize (in the style of the big companies of the web 2.0) but a personal expression from which I contribute to the construction of a network (Hive) and I am rewarded for it.
The word that best unifies the potential of cryptocurrencies and the gigantic web 3.0 is blockchain, because with it we refer to the fact that everything is built in a decentralized network and with data that remain private and unalterable, in fact, it is the one that allows us to act independently when making any type of transaction, whether financial or otherwise, such as social media here in Hive.

The simple fact of starting to use any blockchain network is a good start and something that marks our entry into this new revolution.
